Don't go after October 1st or end of tourist season, whichever comes first. EVERYTHING shuts down. Convenience store for food/fuel, one restaurant and a bar and grill were only options. AmericInn was OPEN. Easy access off of interstate 90. A cute western town and gorgeous Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit. The North Unit is a MUST SEE! Make the drive north on Highway 85. You won't be disappointed. Breathtaking vistas and abundant wildlife.

The pitch fork fondue was excellent.
The pitch fork fondue was excellent. Views of the surrounding hills are amazing. We also saw the Medora musical and it was really much more modern and fun than past performances we've seen. The performers were really good especially Willow on her banjo.

Medora is a cute small town.
Medora is a cute small town. The ND Cowboy Hall of Fame was very interesting. The shopping is varied but some places close early. It seemed like the town woke up on Wed. Monday and Tuesday seemed like activities such as carriage rides, entertainment, etc. were closed. The Steak Fondue was a neat experience and you could see the large “Medora” hillside sign from there. It looks like the Hollywood sign in LA. I wish we could have seen a rodeo.

A pair of women's swim bottoms was left there, I guess a cleaning lady must have liked them, because I didn't get a reply back that they were found, sad that I have to order another pair that will cost $50 or so.

Very much enjoyed the musical in the ampitheater, the Teddy Roosevelt speaker, the Pitchfork Fondue, and the Gospel Brunch! And Medora has many shops to visit...and don't forget the Teddy Roosevelt National Park! WOW!

We visited mid September and many stores had already shut down for the season. Made the town ghost like. Loved Cowboy Cafe, sweet owners and home cooked food for breakfast or lunch. Entrance to Teddy Roosevelt National Park is right there. Visitors Center was worth a stop for hiking suggestions. In town we highly recommend a visit to the Western Museum in town. Worth every minute. Best place for dinner or just a beer stop at Little Mo’s! Cute town to walk around or bike. If the playhouse is offering a Teddy Roosevelt play, don’t miss it, fabulous actor portrays the popular President, and he is not to be missed!
The location was good; breakfast had a lot of options; rooms were fine.
What I loved: This is NOT a pet-friendly hotel! There are so many people with allergies who can hardly find a hotel room that hasn't had pets in it. I really appreciated that I could sleep here without waking up sick!
This was our first time staying at an AmericInn and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice facility, pleasant staff, comfortable beds, and great location to go to the TR National Park. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay again if passing through.
Hotel is located at the perfect place, very close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit entrance and in the nice town of Medora, ND. Hotel is older but very well-maintained and clean. We also enjoyed its swimming pool.
Have been traveling since Nov. 7–multiple hotels. This hotel is BY FAR the BEST in EVERY way! if I could, I would take this hotel with me—on my travels all over the Western States—and stay in it…
Walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. Nice lobby leather chairs to read/relax by fireplace or tables and chairs in area with hot tea or coffee. Good hot breakfast in mornings.
Good location and friendly staff. Good location for the Theodore National park. Medora is a cute little town. Hotel is just right for an easy night or two.
Good Location in the little town of Medora, close to the National Park. Breakfast was ok, rooms were a good size, beds were good. We also liked the pool
