The location by the harbour. We were able to access the headland walk for Cape Disappointment and Discovery Trail directly from the hotel. Plenty of parking opposite and interesting to see a working port with boat repair facilities. The only downside was the fact that due to staff shortages the pub for dining options is closed two nights a week. However, there are several other restaurants near Long Beach.

Loved this guesthouse! While the decor was quaint and old-fashioned with lace curtains it was all bright and cheery and not old and dark, the woodwork throughout the place was superb! Had the best avocado toast for breakfast - We walked down to the docks which was beautiful. A really nice place to visit!

Richard the owner was delightful and helpful, and the breakfast at the Biscuit was delicious and a great value!
You could tell it was an older building fixed up, not real high end, but very clean and comfortable!

We liked that the hotel and surrounding area was clean. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable enough for our short stay. Shower pressure was fabulous and plenty of hot water! Complimentary breakfast was pretty dang good!

I liked the attitude of the staff. We were in bad weather and freezing rain. I liked that as soon as the announcement about bad weather and the closure of a number of roads due to ice passed, the hotel wrote to us and called us with an offer to cancel the reservation free of charge and a warning about such a situation. I also liked that, just in case, there was an additional heater in the room in case it was needed. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, despite the fact that in the city itself not all cafes were open due to the weather. From the unexpected, I liked that near the drink machines opposite the pool there was a piano in the same space. This is just great for children who need daily activities.

My favorite spots in Ilwaco were the inn I stayed at and the beach. I wasn't there for as long as I would have liked or I would have visited more local places. Some of the restaurants I wanted to eat at are very popular and fill up quickly so I would have had an earlier dinner. Finding your way around Ilwaco is amazingly easy. There's one light in town and I more or less used that to gauge my location to the hot spots around town.

A delightful small town, with a wonderful marina, and friendly vendors (at the farmer's market!) If you just want to decompress, relax, and enjoy a quiet walk (or sit) overlooking the marina, this is the place!!!

We were there for the Northwest Offshore Race from the mouth of the Columbia River to Port Angeles. The race was delayed a day due to Gale Force winds and dangerous conditions crossing the bar. Cute town with fishing charters and conveniently located to beaches and sites.

Ilwaco is a cute little place near Cape Disappointment.
Ilwaco is a cute little place near Cape Disappointment. We hiked to both light houses in the area, the old fort ruins, hung out at the jetty and did some nature walking. Such a beautiful area!
The marina area of Ilwaco is great! We have stayed at the Salt Inn and ate at the restaurant over looking the marina. Loved it!
If you are into fishing, they have charters out of there too

My family and i visited prior on a whim for only a few hours as we were staying in astoria. I found Heidi's place on booking.com and booked the stay the following weekend weekend for my daughter, our dog and I. The place felt comfortable for me to a single mom to relax and enjoy my weekend. The hiking and sights in Cape disappointment were the main reason we came back. The added bonus was being able to go to the saturday market and see more of the town and meet the locals who were very welcoming and friendly.
Cape disappointment was the highlight of my trip! For my daughter it was being about 10 minutes from the beach. The town of long beach is very kid friendly! They have go carts, horse back riding, bumper cars, places scattered about for picnics and is very dog friendly! As well as beaches you can drive on boardwalks to explore and endless views of the ocean. For food hit up the Crab pot! They have the best halibut in a town and the staff is very attentive and friendly.
We also stopped by black lake which is in between long beach and llwaco. This lake is breath taking! I am not sure about swimming but there seemed to be a lot of fishing going on.

It’s fresh and clean, even while holding the antique furnishings. Enough modern to be convenient, while furnished to encourage you to step back to simpler times and relax. Close and convenient to the Ilwaco Saturday market, Salt Pub, and a quick drive or bike ride to Long Beach & Seaview. As a wedding performer, this will be my new home base when in the area!
It was much better staying here than on the main street in Long Beach. Very friendly welcome. Warm, comfortable, clean and a good shower. And Ilwaco is very interesting, look around the working harbour and go to the Lewis and Clark interpretive center. We went up there, but couldn’t find it but the scenery was beautiful.
To say again, our hosts were great.
Nice boutique hotel, delicious breakfast and complimentary drinks included in stay. Quaint location in the port of Ilwaco, close to Cape Disappointment and Long Beach. also had a nice meal at dinner and they recommended other nearby restaurants midweek when this one was closed. Loved our stay and would go back.
I didn’t have high expectations for a budget hotel and was pleasantly surprised that it was newly remodeled. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The parking spaces were plenty wide enough rather than being really close together.
The owners are lovely. They served complementary wine and cookies in the evening. Lots of great history and outdoor adventures in the area. Also, quite a nice heritage museum just a couple of blocks from the hotel.
The breakfast was fine, but a bit more basic than what I was expecting. There are are commercial/industrial businesses nearby, so the site was noisier than expected, even in the late evening or early morning.
The hotel with centrally located and it was easy to get to Long Beach, as well as Astoria and further down in Oregon. Relatively close to Seaside and Cannon Beach.
