Breakfast was great, we especially loved that they offered bagels from a local bakery. Also, in the breakfast area there is a lot of beautiful paintings of western NC that really made this place stand out!
Wonderful time. Beautiful scenery and great local resturants. Make sure to take time and walk around downtown Boone. Visit the campus of Appalachian State University. Take a short drive to Shops on the Parkway in Blowing Rock. Make sure to have lunch or dinner at Pepper's in Boone. You won't be disappointed.

We were there to see the school. It was great. Surrounding area nice, interesting non-chain options for dining, which we appreciated. Weird that a main street runs right through the middle of campus, but enjoyed and would like to go back to Boone. It snowed on 5 April!

We've been to this area a couple of times over the years, and tend to go back as we really like the area. It is close to an entrance for the Blue Ridge Parkway, with an overlook just a few minutes down the road. The restaurants are good, but Dan'l Boone Inn is an absolute must every time we are in the area. There are plenty of small hiking trails, and waterfalls, to see.

There isn't much to review.
There isn't much to review. I made a reservation at the Holiday Inn because they had an indoor pool, and brought a 12-year old up so we could swim and have a good time. However, when we arrived, the hotel said the pool was 'under maintenance' and not available. A wasted 2.5 hour trip.

Boone is a great town.
Boone is a great town. Clean, orderly, with plenty facilities, hotels, restaurants, good roads and friendly people. But terrible traffic too many cars and aggressive drivers. Beautiful area, best kept secret in NC. I love Boone, Blowing Rock, GF mountain, Tweetsee rr and small towns. Great environment.
We liked the hotel very much, location was good. The breakfast on Saturday morning was excellent and went back on Sunday morning and it was not near as good as the previous morning, maybe leftover gravy?? The lobby was very nice with a large fireplace, we sat there and had our coffee, very relaxing. We drove up there for the snow (up to 6 inches predicted), we only got a few flurries, not the hotel's fault), but it was relaxing there.
The location was perfect. It's just remote enough to enjoy the beauty of the area, but also close enough to enjoy Boone or Blowing Rock. The views from the deck or patio are great. A bonus is Elk Knob State Park is just a few miles up the road. The hike to the summit is well worth the effort. The house is comfortable and is well furnished and equipped. It would be easy just to spend all day there relaxing.
We truly enjoyed our visit with Holiday Inn in Boone, NC. We had a great stay. The bathrooms were large which gave plenty of room to move around and had plenty of light. We found enough outlets in the bedroom to plug in our phones, laptop, and cPap machine which has been an issue at other hotels. The staff were very helpful. I can only say good things about our stay.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and perfect for us and our 2 little dogs.
It was great having breakfast with lots of options.
The hotel was clean and in a great location for downtown Boone.
The accessibility to Blowing Rock & Boone Towns. The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather mountain, with other attractions. Forgot to mention that the pics that is on the Booking.com are exactly what is on the property.
The staff was friendly. The breakfast was made to order, was delicious and included in the price of the room. Rooms were clean and a great size for the value. Great location to restaurants and stores and downtown Boone.
I like this hotel because it is clean, the pool is great, breakfast is always on time and many choices to pick. Staff is nice too. This is the second time I stayed here. And prices very affordable. Thank you 😊.
Great location in Boone - easy access to restaurants and ski resorts. Room was clean and very comfortable. Kids loved the indoor pool. Breakfast was a hit will all ages. Staff were attentive and helpful.
I was traveled for skiing and the hotel location was right. My room was on the first floor, quiet, nothing bothered me.
I liked waffles for breakfast, coffee and some tea in the room.
The hotel was outside of Boone. It was quiet, well maintained, and comfortable. I would have no hesitation about staying here again. It would be perfect for that romantic getaway.
