The location was great! We drove to the ski resort, but there was a shuttle available. It was too far to walk carrying ski gear. The area was peaceful. The apartment was clean. The kitchen had almost all of the utensils we needed. It was not hard to find parking close to the apartment, so that was nice.

We were at the property during the July 4th holiday, yet nothing was crowded. The valley in which the town of Angel Fire sits is a beautiful alpine valley. The village had a few shops and a grocery store.

Angel Fire proper is a pretty boring town.
Angel Fire proper is a pretty boring town. It's very small and other than the bike park (or ski area if you go in the winter) there's not much to do there. Nice to have the grocery store and gasoline is competitively priced. It is a resort town so some things are simply more expensive, that's just how it is. Both pizza places in town are great. Pizza Stop food is amazing but very expensive. Angel Fired Pizza is delicious and less expensive. If you need anything beyond the basics or just want something else to do, Taos is a 40 minute drive over the mountain and is a much bigger town with all of the usual in regard to fast food and cheap entertainment.

The roads there were very clear.
The roads there were very clear. The people in the town were friendly and helpful. The grocery store is small but is stocked with a little of everything. The town sort of gives you a sense of peace. Very beautiful!!!!

The Angel fire ski area was ok.
The Angel fire ski area was ok. Checking into the kids ski lesson was easy. The lesson price was good too. I normally ski at Beaver Run ,Colorado. Compared to that I wasn’t impressed. Adult ski lessons are half day either morning or afternoon for 1.75Hrs and ridiculously expensive. At Beaver Run I get 3.5hrs skiing lesson for the same price. I chose this place as I didn’t want to travel on a plane to Colorado. I won’t be coming back for skiing again. I cooked food at the place I was staying at.

It’s a sleepy little town with not a lot of services.
It’s a sleepy little town with not a lot of services. Beautiful and picturesque. The little grocery store called Lowe’s is great. The best place for breakfast and lunch is called The Bakery and Cafe. If you’re looking for something tranquil with not a lot of thrills, this is the place to go.

Bad roads to the lodgings. Not a lot of resources.
Bad roads to the lodgings. Not a lot of resources. Our time sitting by Eagle Nest Lake and Monte Verde Lake was nice. Lots of wildflowers. We weren‘t interested in hiking on this trip to the Enchanted Circle. The scenery in the area is beautiful, our lodgings were nasty. I think this must be a better skiing destination than a summer resort retreat. If all you’re going to do is ski, drink and sleep, I guess this would be it. We will never go back to stay in this place.
Great location with private access to Lady Slipper trail that leads you down to Monte Verde Laura where we saw lots of deer and baby Canada geese. Pay attention to which cabins require a vehicle with ground clearance to get to them. Comfortable cabin, premium coffee and toiletries, amazing porch/deck with chairs for sipping coffee and watching chipmunks play.
My family of seven picked Angel Fire for our Christmas ski trip and Pine Valley Lodge made the trip even better. It's very spacious and nestled in a beautiful neighborhood full of trees and friendly deer! There are lots of winter activities nearby but very little restaurant options. You will love staying at this property!
Cleanliness & location of the property. It was walking distance to the ski resort where you can take the shuttle. The property was very clean & have the basic necessities you will need for your stay. A plus is washer & dryer if you have extended stay. Enough space to accommodate 8 of us (6 adults, 2 kids)
The location is pretty good. super close to Angel Fire Resort and everything from town. The GPS and Google maps will give wrong directions (make you stop before getting to the address) but if you’re paying attention it’s not a problem!
It was close to the resort, very spacious, and clean. The view was amazing. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook for my family. There was already firewood there and the master bed was super comfortable.
Comfortable sleeping arrangements, well equipped kitchen and laundry room, large dining area, large hot tub, and nice loft area for the kids to play. It was a close drive to the Angel Fire snow skiing area.
