An excellent choice for staying in Moshi! Clear views of Kilimanjaro from the top floor and very nice, comfortable rooms. The weather is great - quite cool at this time of year.
The weather is great - quite cool at this time of year. The town is clean and well labelled. It is a small town so its very serene and has little traffic jam. I consider it a great stop-over if heading to Dar es salaam by road from the Kenya side.

It's a busy but friendly city, I was grateful to not be driving myself anywhere. Taxis are very easy to get. It helps to have someone local who can help you navigate. The food is great and the people are kind.

Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town itself does not have a real center, just a tacky sculpture of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the center of a roundabout.
However, if you stay a little bit outside of town then you can enjoy the unique location.

There is a lot of really nice restaurants(indointaliano is one of the best) and the view of Kilimanjaro is amazing. Moshi is the best place to find a company which will take you to the summit of Kilimanjaro. You can also do day trips from Moshi to Materuni waterfalls or Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Moshi and is only good if you do a tour or two and hike Kilimanjaro. When you are done with those, get out! The do have a Regional Immigration Office that will extend your visa for 30 days if you need it.
My stay was honestly quite bad. As I arrived, there was no running water at the room, no electricity, the WiFi connection didn't reach the room, the toilet was in poor condition. The first solution they offered to me was to change me to the Double Room, which was 7$ more expensive than the one I booked. I was quite annoyed. The facilities I was missing were totally basic, and they wanted me to pay more for something that should be granted.
The only good thing was the terrace and the staff (as always in Tanzania <3)
Everything was beyond expectations, Dee welcomed us and helped us with everything we needed, she planned our excursions finding very good deals tailored for us.
We had the chance to spend time with her and her friends and to really experience the Tanzanian way of living, if you are looking for an authentic experience mkoani homestasy is the place to go.
The breakfast was amazing and we also had dinner with Dee multiple times.
Wonderful staff. Aaron went out of his way to make the stay comfortable and make me feel at home. Offering help and advice about moshi. Really nice relaxing feel to the place with a beautiful garden and great views of kilimanjaro. The room was spacious and great value for the price. The breakfast was delicious and enough to fill you up for the day. The area was nice to walk around and was walking distance to moshi town
Victor was amazing! The staff here was impeccable! The food, superb! Thanks Chef! It is quite a bit outside Moshi so keep that in mind but the drive is worth it. Super quiet and peaceful vibe. When Kili decides to come out, the view is AMAZING. Perfect place to chill before our trek up one of the seven summits! Don’t hesitate to book this place! It’s WELL worth the price and distance :)
My very first place in Tanzania and I couldn't be luckier than this, the place is way better than expected, a little slice of paradise! I only booked for 1 night and ended up staying 4, and never wanted to leave. Amadeus and the boys are the most welcoming people, there are a lot of wonderful hikings in the surroundings, and Ignas is a master chef! I left a piece of my heart there
The Panone is a budget motel at a great price. The hotel was located close to the Kiliminjaro Airport as well as to the parks in the area. The staff were were all welcoming and helpful. They provided day trip arrangements as my flight wasn't until the evening. I went to the Kikuletwa or Chemuka Hot Springs with a terrific guide. A nice breakfast was included.
It’s a nice big house in a quiet locality Peter and John and staffs are very friendly and they can help you with anything there are two nearby restaurants which serves. Very good food with a fair price if you are coming from Arusha you can get down in the main road to moshi before entering into moshi town and it’s 200 meters from the main road road
The lady, who I suppose to be the owner of the house, Namnyaki, was very welcoming and even took us to the bus station at 5.30 in the morning.
It's a Tanzanian house, so expect a shared bathroom and a mood different from a hotel - overall a good experience :)
There's an inside balcony where you can relax at the end of the day.
The hotel is clean with a rooftop offering a nice view of the mount Kilimanjaro when the weather is clear.
The staff is cheerful and willing to assist and provide advice.
The place is a bit remote from Moshi city Center, which is excellent if you wish to have a retreat from big cities lifestyle.
Interior, exterior, amenities, hospitality, food, decoration... I could go on. All were outstanding. Many many leagues ahead in terms of quality to any other accommodation you would find in Moshi or the vicinity. Unreservedly recommended. Thanks for the excellent stay.
The staff was top notch. The showers were hot, and the rooms were clean. Nice view of Kili from the second floor as well. This is my second time staying at Springlands Hotel. I will definitely return there whenever I’m in the Kilimanjaro area.
A haven of peace. This is really the best place i stayed in tanzania, I would have stayed longer if i could. The breakfast was awesome. Simba also arranged me a tour to the waterfalls for a very good price and got me the best coffee in town.
The location was perfect! I could walks down the block to my early morning bus departure and we had a view of Kili! I ordered traditional Tanzanian dinner and it was DELICIOUS! Breakfast was lovely as well.
the best! room, service, food, etc. is amazing, this hotel needs to be more popular :) the only thing I would change are the prices: I had a soup for 15 USD 😭, but otherwise it was amazing
