Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town itself does not have a real center, just a tacky sculpture of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the center of a roundabout. However, if you stay a little bit outside of town then you can enjoy the unique location.

There is a lot of really nice restaurants(indointaliano is one of the best) and the view of Kilimanjaro is amazing. Moshi is the best place to find a company which will take you to the summit of Kilimanjaro. You can also do day trips from Moshi to Materuni waterfalls or Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Moshi and is only good if you do a tour or two and hike Kilimanjaro. When you are done with those, get out! The do have a Regional Immigration Office that will extend your visa for 30 days if you need it.

The first solution they offered to me was to change me to the Double Room, which was 7$ more expensive than the one I booked. I was quite annoyed. The facilities I was missing were totally basic, and they wanted me to pay more for something that should be granted. The only good thing was the terrace and the staff (as always in Tanzania <3)
