Diyarbakir does not appear to be a typical foreign tourist . However it has many hidden gems. It’s well worth visiting the old city within ramparts and ancient gates. There are beautifully restored Hans, mosques, and interesting alleyways to explore. The “ new city” of Diyarbakir is very modern, with shopping malls, nice parks, cafes and restaurants. The Kurdish cuisine is absolutely delicious! Do not miss the opportunity to climb up to the ancient ramparts of the city and survey the scene. An unforgettable view of the Tigris awaits you!

Anytime you enter the reception there is somebody smiling at you. They let us check in early, I appreciated that a lot. It is basic, but super clean and A/C works well. Breakfast was good (selection of cheeses, olives, veggies and fruit, fresh bread). Great value for money. I would stay here again.
