This place was wonderful. The location is great as it's in the main attraction of town. It's well preserved and truly feels like you're staying in a medieval castle. The amenities were nice. The breakfast was delicious with a larger variety than other places we had stayed.
Well located in the Obidos Medieval Town district of Óbidos, Casa Lidador - Obidos is located a 2-minute walk from Obidos Castle, 24 miles from Monastery of Alcobaca and 16 miles from Peniche...

Very well kept property. Very clean thru out. Kitchen a bit small but dining room very adequate. Sitting areas well decorated and pleasant. At the price we paid, would stay again. The two young men at the front desk at the Posada where we checked in were very helpful.

Very good location to the walled city. The hotel had tons of character, and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was the best I’ve had on the trip.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. The owners were very welcoming offering us a glass of sherry upon arrival and generously offering us extra food (fruit and crackers) to take when we were leaving. Very nice people.

Sam and Rich could not have been more welcoming.
Sam and Rich could not have been more welcoming.
They did so much to insure our comfort, from stocking the refrigerator to providing an electric mattress pad (sheer bliss!). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and cozy. It is a lovely property with a beautiful view. We would not hesitate to stay there again or recommended to anyone.

I wasn't there long enough to do as much exploring as I would have liked. The castle was very interesting wandering in and around there. If I had more time I would have liked to explore more of the town.

We went to see the Christmas lights.
We went to see the Christmas lights. The main street is beautiful. Also went to Vila de Natal. If you don't have children with you not really worth the price. Because we spent 2 night we had a day to walk around the outside of the walls also.

We were really looking forward to staying in the castle but the room we booked was actually in a building attached to the castle. We were not at all happy with our room which disappointed us but the town inside the walls of the castle was fun to walk around. The restaurant at the hotel was very good with great service. If we were to visit again, which we won't, we would avoid room 002 as it is a bit like a dungeon being the lowest room in the hotel.
Phillip and Pietro in reception were welcoming and very helpful. The room was comfortable and the complimentary ginger liqueur and chocolate cup,, a specialty of Obidos, were fun to experience. Great to have hair conditioner which many places in Portugal don't have. We were traveling with a friend and were happy to be able to order room service which we ate in the courtyard outside her room. Great breakfast. My husband appreciated the selection of sausages while I loved the fresh fruit.
Marcelo was an excellent, reliable, communicative, and very helpful host! We mistakenly left our passports behind in the room and Marcelo was so accommodating and flexible in meeting us to get them back. The room was exactly as described and was the perfect size for two people. It was comfortable, clean, safe, very reasonably priced, and in a great location in Obidos, steps away from Obidos Castle, great restaurants, and the lovely, quaint streets of Obidos.
Wow! What a great place! We loved the apartment and Obidos and Tiago. Such a nice, well equipped, clean and well located apartment. It even had free parking on-site! And Obidos is a beautiful town, our favourite town in Portugal.Tiago made it so easy to find our way around the best sights, restaurants and routes in the city and surrounding area. On top of being such a great space, it was incredibly good value. Thank you Tiago we will be back!
Great accommodation. Located within the walled city and adjacent to the entrance to the castle. Lovely decor throughout and in the rooms. Staff was friendly amid helpful, nice small breakfast in the morning. My spouse and I travelled with two young children and split two rooms and were very comfortable. Find the parking outside the walled town was not an issue, nor was carrying our stuff to the hotel.
The hotel itself is wonderful, the rooms are spacious and modern, and the lounge area is fabulous. We didn't have a chance to utilise the outdoor swimming pool due to rain, but we had a direct view to it from our room and it looked impeccable.
The area is calm and green and allows for nice walks in nature and with a quick 5 minutes drive, you'll be in the heart of the Obidos Vila.
Great location, just outside the castle wall. Nice hotel, in medieval theme, which is everywhere; lobby, room, everywhere.
The parking spaces in the enclosed garage are very convenient, but somewhat difficult to reach in the tiny streets. Very helpful, friendly staff. Excellent pool with magnificent view.
Breakfast included with a lot of choice.
This is a small guest house. if you are looking for a hotel this is not for you! We wanted to be near the wall of the castle and this fit the bill. The room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but just enough to get your day started. Sara and Vera were so attentive. The terrace was what we loved most. Such beautiful views.
I liked this place. We were upgraded and got a balcony. The room was big. The bathroom had a bath tub and nice products including conditioner which a lot of hotels miss. The bed was very comfy. Kettle in the room which is great for tea drinkers rather than just a coffee machine. Location was also very good within the castle walls.
Nice new hotel in a walking distance from the old town. There are two large grocery stores nearby. There is free parking just in front of the hotel. There is no personnel in the hotel, access is via code. There is a common space for sitting and having food with a fridge, microwave and a coffee machine.
We loved the room, as it was very spacious, comfortable and aesthetically looking. The staff was amazing! Everyone was helpful and friendly. There was a lot of available parking space and the hotel’s location is just perfect. It’s close to the Óbidos castle, many shops and restaurants.
The location was great. It was easy to get to by walking from the Obidos train station and was right outside the castle walls. We really liked all the aesthetics and decoration choices, and had a good view from our window. The kitchen seemed nice, but we didn't need to use it.
Rooms were nice, very roomy. The bathroom was clean and nice. We were amazed of decoration around the house. It was very nice stay and we will recomand it. We had realy great time here. The location is great. Near the center and Obidos was our favourite place in Portugal.
The room was lovely, spacious and with a great view. Sara was very welcoming and a fantastic host. The terrace is a huge bonus and lovely place to relax. Within easy walking distance of the highlights of Obidos and very close to a fabulous restaurant called Jamon Jamon.
Casa Picva was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. Lovely hosts, a delicious breakfast, and a garden perfect to curl up in with a wine and book. Paired with comfortable beds, a great shower, and a very clean room, our only regret is staying here for just one night!
Great Location literally next door to the old town / castle entrance, and room with a view over the town and valley. And the room was spacious and clean, despite having a very 'rustic' look as one would expect in such an old part of town.
amazing great hotel in Lisbon. We were far away from reception so did not get noise as others complained. location was awesome few minutes walk to Obidios castle.
