The location has incredibly beautiful views. The layout of the rooms looking onto the gardens radiated a peaceful atmosphere.
Sitting in 120 hectares of Douro Valley vineyards, this traditional manor house has been converted into Portugal’s first wine hotel.

Quinta Nova is an amazing experience and the location and views are outstanding, the staff were lovely, although language was sometimes a challenge, they may have been a little short staffed while we were there as we did have to wait a while when we ordered drinks a few times. The position and overall experience was wonderful.
Situated in Armamar and within 15 km of Douro Museum, THE PINTA Boutique Hotel has a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi.

It was out of season and the hotel was extremely quiet. It was just a one night stopover and the weather was appalling.
Staff were very helpful and breakfast just as we ordered.
Located in the centre of Tabuaço, this residence features air-conditioned rooms with a private balcony. The hotel has a spacious breakfast room and a bar decorated with colourful mosaic tiles.

We loved this place. It has great charm and Damian and Luisa although they have limited English are so kind and thoughtful. It is in the most amazing setting overlooking the Douro River and the garden is wonderful. The village is very medieval with a church built in 1188. Regua and Pinhao are only 15 minutes away and we did the train ride to Pocinho and back with incredible views of the vineyards and river. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance, one a Michelin star. Breakfast was great in the cosy kitchen. Can't recommend this place enough. Loved it and could have easily stayed longer than our 3 nights.
Situated in Folgosa and only 12 km from Douro Museum, Tomás Barqueiro features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The room was wonderful, the balcony was amazing with its views over the river and valley. The area is tranquil. Tomas the owner was extremely helpful even allowing us the use of a microwave. Once the pool has been completed this place will be outstanding.

This was the most wonderful stay, it far exceeded all of our expectations. I cannot stress enough how amazing our host/hostess were. I felt like I spent three nights among family and friends. The highlight of the stay were the meals. Sitting at the large dining room table and enjoying the wonderful and never ending combinations of appetizers, entrees, desserts and AWESOME port/wine & spice water. Rivaling the insanely good traditional Portuguese food was the conversation with the other guests, discussing what we did that day and our plans for the next day to just getting to know one another. A close second to the meals was the absolutely gorgeous accommodations. Our villa had several bathrooms, rooms, dining room, kitchen, deck (with panoramic views of the surrounding village and country side) in addition to a small chapel (yes chapel!) and a pool just out our door, which was perfect at the end of a long sunny day visiting the surrounding vineyards. The location is nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley just a short drive from; swimming in river or going on an incredible tour and tasting at any of the world-class wineries (Quintas) or simply soaking in some of the most scenic vistas you will ever see. In fact, my ONLY regret was that our stay here was at the very beginning of our Portugal vacation, as it set the bar SO HIGH nothing could rival it.
