Giovanni is a true gentleman. He got in touch with us out of his own accord well before our check-in date. A nice video was provided to us so that we were really clear on how to reach the location as it lies next to the Airport Roundabout which can be confusing to Tourists.
Giovanni was super welcoming to us right from the beginning. We even locked us out with the keys inside right in the middle of the night and had to wake the owner. There wasn't even a shred of irritation with Giovanni although we had to wake him from his sleep due to our own fault. He was swift to let us in with spare keys and constantly reassured us not to worry about it.
We also had a really early flight to the airport around 4:00 AM and Giovanni insisted that he'd drop us to the airport. This is an unique experience which we have never had in all our years of renting properties across the world.
The property itself is a beautiful farm house and Giovanni's story-telling behind the conception of the place and a quick tour made it fascinating. Location is really close to Valetta and the airport, so really handy for people looking to explore that part of Malta with a genuine Maltese Cottage.
Would go back there at the drop of a hat... !! :)

Description of the hotel and pictures on the booking page are accurate. The room is very spacious and clean.
Very good quality of furniture and kitchen appliances. Fridge, microwave, cooker, toaster, coffee machine and kettle as well as pans and saucepans were available. Two sets of tableware and cutlery were provided.
Instruction for self check-in is very detailed and everything works well. Personnel is helpful and supportive even if there is no reception there.
My room was not soundproof at all, I could hear the street noise, church bells all night long and airplanes from the early morning. Earplugs were not provided (or I couldn’t find them), luckily I have no sleep problems 😊

Luqa is a quaint, tranquil village very near the airport. There are regular bus services to Valetta, so it is easy to get around. I enjoyed the low volume of traffic and there were enough stores and street vendors to buy everything I needed.

Luqa is as close you will get of feeling like being on a movie set somewhere down in Mexico. Nice small friendly community, close to Airport , the Lidl has everything you need to survive the first couple of days on Malta or indefinetly. Very convenient for starters on Malta.
