The town of Perast over the past several years has become like a hotel, analogous to Sveti Stefan - looking beautiful and functioning great for tourists. Perast is very small, one can walk all along it within twenty minutes, and that explains, but does not justify the absence of any pharmacy in the town, which is my only complaint.

Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk.
Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk. All restaurants are expensive tourist traps with expensive lousy food. Parking is a nightmare. It is worth a 30 minute visit to walk along the beach front (make sure you are not hungry)

We had 3 weeks in Montenegro and spent the last 3 nights in Perast. We could have had another 2-3 days here to be fair. It is much calmer than Kotor and even though it is much smaller we enjoyed Perast better as a city. It is not so crowded and we enjoyed walking from Perast to Risan where we had lunch and then on the way back we stopped for a swim. We had lunch at an amazing oyster farm (the first one on your right as you walk back from Risan - search for "Mussles and Oysters farm with Restaurant" on Google). They were fully booked but still gave us a table and we had one of the best lunches!
We also spent a day swimming, there are several small "concrete piers" that you can swim from, good for both adults and children, but remember to have shoes to swim with, lots of mussels and rocks at some spots.
I also have to recommend a restaurant called “Underwater wine cellar Kraken Kotor”. A small independent restaurant, floating just outside of Perast on the way towards Kotor. We had a swim straight “of” the restaurant, good food and wine. It is an experience you will never forget!
We never went to Our lady of the rocks, it just seemed to be too crowded (unless you manage to get with the first taxi/tour in the morning). We did walk up in the church tower in the centre.

Perast was lovely, although with a young family a day trip would have been long enough. There is a cafe which serves the best pizza I’ve ever eaten - Bocolibre I think it was called. If only there were more relaxed cafe type places to eat as all the restaurants serve the same dishes. It is truly pretty but lacks enough beach space for the amount of visitors. We used a spot on the road to enjoy swimming which was fine but not restful or much fun for young children.
Beautiful villa and stunning views
Ana was friendly and helpful
The penthouse and double room were both lovely and have everything you need. The pool area is peaceful and the views over the water and mountains I could have stared at all day.
Highly recommend staying here and wish we could have stayed longer, we were so relaxed!
There are lots of steps, but we knew this before booking and Montenegro in general has lots of steps, so this is to be expected.
This hotel was located in a beautiful setting, with sea views from the window. It was fantastic to have breakfast right on the sea with uninterrupted views. Milena and the staff were so friendly and helpful, offering coffee or drinks or help all the time. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is located on the sea front in the centre of Perast so we couldn’t have asked for a better location or a friendlier host.
The best apartment we’ve lived during our trip to Montenegro. The house by itself is something unbelievable as it rests here for 450+ years according to owners words. Looks a feels great and cosy both inside and outside. Apartment is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Anka and her husband are hospitable, ready to help you regarding any matter.
Really comfortable apartment. Stylish and modern. Location was in the center of Perast, right by the sea. The staff was very polite, well organized and in general service was on high level. We came by the car. We had parking space at the entrance of the town (found space for us almost immediately) and electric cart picked us from there to the hotel. Really liked the stay.
The host and staff were amazing, made us feel so welcome and special.
The views from the hotel is excellent, especially from the swimming pool.
Calm vibe, we could really just switch off and relaxed.
Best cappuccino in Montenegro.
Special touch with the hotel's chef who catered for us personally with amazing food every meal. We didn't want or have to go anywhere else.
The property was located at a beautiful spot in Perast and had a gorgeous sea view! It was kept spick and span by the lovely housekeeper Stephani! She is such a fabulous lady! Thanks to the owner as who was very helpful and constantly giving instructions for a smoother stay! We would love to stay there again on our next visit to Montenegro! :)
Hotel is located exactly in the center of Perast. It’s mini hotel with 14 rooms. We stayed in the apartment, which had living room and bedroom. Everything was new and modern. Staff were extremely kind and helpful, specially Jelena. She is amazing! Breakfast was good as well, in the restaurant next door. We would definitely come back!

Simply an incredible hotel! Lovely staff willing to share incredible local history (in depth and with great enthusiasm). Impeccable room with high quality construction finishes. Generous breakfast that you can eat by the water in the most stunning setting. Favorite place we stayed at in Montenegro.
Don't be put off by the short walk up from Perast or down from the road. The place is an oasis of calm, with generous room sizes with great views overlooking the ocean and a great pool and chill area. Highly recommend staying here for a few days while you explore or just relax.
We came back for our last day in Montenegro to spend in Perast. Love this place and definitely it will be my stop next time I'll travel to Montenegro.
Again thank you for everything and I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
Stunning views and friendly hosts. The apartment was very clean and quaint. Perfect location for walking all around Perast, or taking a day trip to the surrounding areas. Highly recommended a stay here.
Excellent location. Probably best view in Perast from the room terasse. Great position of hotel restaurant next to the sea, so start of the day with breakfast at the sea side is wonderfull experience.
very nice and clean Hotel very very friendly staff specially Marco he is very professional and he company you from entrance and he like his job and he listen to now your needs
Special thanks to him
Great location in Perast. Walking distance to the promenade to take in the beautiful views (just know there are stairs) and 15-minute drive to Kotor. The complimentary included breakfast was good.
Your kindness and helpful to change our booking and find transport to Tivat was unforgettable, your Home is a treasure of Montenegro Architecture, is a historical site.
Outdoor patio was nice to relax in the evening.
Location is very good close to center. Just because perast is on 'hill' keep that in mind for your luggage.
Really lovely apartment with the most amazing views. Really lovely part of Montenegro to visit. Lovely host too with loads of advice of places to visit.
