Lucky Bay was the perfect accomondation for us, its affordable and a 30 second walk to the nicest section of the beach (flat, no fishing boats crowding it etc) The rooms are simple, clean, with A/C and a nice little shaded area out front with a hammock and chairs for chilling. The property is beautifully landscaped with heaps of palms, ferns, and Frangipanis lining the path to the rooms which creates a peaceful and lush atmosphere I haven't seen at any other accomodation in A bay. Muhammad the owner runs Lucky with alot of care and works hard to keep the grounds tidy, We had multiple friendly conversations with him, he helped us with transport and even brought some of his mothers cooking for us to sample - proper Sri Lankan hospitality! Close to good restuarants but not too noisy in the evening which is difficult to find. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Great value for money. The manager is nice, takes care of all the needs, and make good food. I came for few nights and extended my stay, I think it's a gem.
