This is the best hotel I’ve been to! The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are extraordinarily clean and also very comfortable. The hosts are a lovely couple, they are incredibly helpful. They helped us plan our Thakhek loop and stored our bags while we were away. They also arranged our travels to our next city. The beds are extremely comfortable, wifi is great, and breakfast is amazing! 10/10 recommend!!! Also location is perfect and walking distance from motorbike rentals and restaurants/cafes. The best!!

Staff is very helpful and they rent motorbike for the loop at very competitive price!
It's a great view of city and village life. You do the loop and that some what sums up your trip.
I did hit the Mountain you take a boat under and I took the "Back road" by mistake and ended up driving 58km though Laos villages
Seriously the best part of the trip.
I got to see a side of Laos 99% Of tourist never will so def. something worth seeing if you find that back road, its not hard to see if you do the loop backwards from what hotels advise you.
the caves are great, Dragon cave is a SERIOUS hike, the first few caves just east of the town are barely 5 minute visits and are used for praying not so. much tourism.

Just place for change of scenery from Thailand on visa run. Very easy border crossing and for visa on arrival to Laos not crowded on day we crossed. Good for stay and travel to other parts of Laos mountain area which had vrey much nicer weather. If you are motorcycle rider starting point for Thakek loop. Laos people were very friendly.

The town has a very laid back atmosphere and is friendly and reasonably priced. There is a very special and spiritually important temple if one has an affinity for that.

The karst mountains near the town are very beautiful.
The karst mountains near the town are very beautiful. Traffic on route to Vietnam can be a bit intimidating. The smaller dirt roads into the mountains are the best. Worthwhile wearing a face mask and dustproof goggles as the dust raised by pickup trucks can be suffocating and visibility reduced to practically zero especially with a big truck travelling at speed on a dusty dirt back road.

Thakhek is the old town, every architectures I saw it is full of history. You should walk around in the morning it is very nice weather. And if you like to outside for adventures. There are many caves around. You can rent the motorbike to go there it is not too far. Two sides of the road to adventure you will see local people living. They are so nice and friendly.
Mr noy was such a gem of a human! We got there and were welcomed with open arms, it began with his wife’s birthday, and continued through the night with great food and amazing company! We then did the thakhek loop, getting a scooter and the right information was a breeze and set off. When we arrived back after 3 days, a hot shower, comfy bed, awesome aircon’d room, couldn’t ask for more. In one month from now they will have a swimming pool so lucky to anyone who is going!
Thank you Mr. Noy!
Amazing! Honestly if you are gonna stay in Thakhek or gonna drive the loop, I would recommend to stay here! The owner welcomed us with his friends and offered us wine. They gave us a google map link with the route, where to eat and sleep, ATMs, police checks and the must dos and stops. This was so so helpful and we shared it with people we met along the way. We were able to leave our big backpacks here when we were driving. Thank you so much! Really stay here! :)
I stayed twice, before and after the loop. One room Ok, the other one shabby and bathroom smelly. Not cold at night. Ok bed, AC but no fan or mosquito net, but few mosquitoes when i was there. Good restaurant and communal area, with excellent real coffee. Efficiently run by a very hospitable host family - so kind that it made up for the deficiencies in the rooms. Really helpful with information and onward transport. Wifi ok.
The staff were absolutely amazing! Nong (the new owner) was so sweet and helpful. Two months ago my friends did the Thakhek loop and came back sick. She essentially cared for him for five days until he was better. She takes exceptional care of her guests and treats everyone like friends. She, and her team, work extremely hard to keep the hostel clean, safe and maintaining a chilled and friendly atmosphere.
It was clean clean clean and updated everywhere. The best bed and pillows I’ve had in Laos. I didn’t want to leave. Gorgeous decor and furnishings with attention to detail. The owner was a beautiful woman and spoke delightful English. Also the free breakfast was lovely ❤️
Location and staff so friendly. rooms with refrigerator, A/C and comfortable beds. The hotel looked like a three stars European standard. The toiletries were so good. The breakfast is included and you can choose several options. Free water at reception
The bus was so late getting into town, I didn't arrive until just after 11pm. I had messaged the property to update them and it was no problem at all. So friendly, the room is basic but clean and does the job for one night before starting the loop.
Very clean hostel (got cleaned several times a day), absolutely lovely owner, helpful with everything. Perfect place to stay if you planning on the Thakek Loop, motorbike rentals close by. Basic beds but I slept very well, free coffee.
Extremely comfortable bed with nice A/C and privacy curtains. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. Comfortable lounge area and they'll store your big backpack for when you're gone on the loop for a small fee.
We stayed here before heading off on the Thakhek loop, the staff were lovely and the hostel allowed for late check in. We were able to leave our big bags here safely whilst we did the loop!
We got the deluxe room, with private bathroom. It was very spacious, there is a nice terrace as well.
Staff is very helpful and they rent motorbike for the loop at very competitive price!
The staff was very friendly and gave us great advice for the Thakhek loop. The beds are comfortable and bike rentals are only a few minutes away from the hostel.
Beautiful, nicely furnished small hotel with excellent central but still quiet location. A few min away from Mekong river. Our suite was very large and pleasant
Absolutely beautiful, our favourite place to stay in Laos so far. Everything was extremely clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Staff were very kind.
