We stayed there for two nights and it was a very satisfying and pleasant experience. All aspects, including the staff, the room facilities, the breakfasts and dinners, the environment and the location, are all excellent! It will be a good choice if you want to experience the vibe and services of a traditional Japanese onsen hotel when visiting Hokkaido!
Located in Hokkaido’s famous Noboribetsu hot spring areas, adex Inn is a 14-minute drive from JR Noboribetsu Station. Guests staying can soak in the hot spring bath.

Shikotu Toya National Park is wonderful, so much to see and explore. The onsen at the Grand hotel were amazing, very relaxing. I would have liked to visit the Ainu museum at Shiroai, but we didn't have time. The Cultural exchange centre near Noboribetsu Station was very interesting though, and they had excellent ice creams.

The hot baths, buffet breakfast with many local delicacies and location, being just beside the Hell Valley is worth experiencing. However, pricing may be a bit steep for the size of the room we stayed.

If the weather is good, I would recommend going up the Observatory where one could view the entire Lake Toya.
Not to be missed is the Jigokudani - Hell Valley and must try the onsen there. Very tourist friendly (surprisingly big towels were provided).
There was a nice cafe near Lake Toya which serves very good pizza.

The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath.
The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath. Hotel in here is kinda on the expensive end, it could cost you almost $400-500/night but it you want to have a nice and good experience it's worth it. There's a few tourist attraction but not much but you can take a bus to a 10mnt near town which is more lively, there's also a ninja village which a must visit for a ninja fans, food is good overall and hokkaido is known as a Miso prefecture, drown yourself into a miso ramen nearby and taste a heaven soup breath life into your cold body in winter which is the best time to visit here around dec - feb. definitely would come again next year after the travel ban lifted ^^
Loved the resort and onsen. The outdoor bath was incredible and we loved the private bath in our room. The hotel is kept very clean, but the private bath in our room had quite a bit of mold everywhere. For such an upscale resort, I was surprised that part wasn't kept cleaner. Walkable to Noboribetsu's major sights--Jigoku Dani and the bear park. We wanted a classic Hokkaido onsen town experience, and Noboribetsu Grand Hotel and this cute little mountain town delivered!
We opted for half board - both dinner and breakfast were amazing! Food was delicious, presentation was beautiful and portions were adequate.
The room was spacious, and the tatami mats that we slept on were comfortable. We also enjoyed the onsen.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel was central and within walking distance to Jigokudani ( Hell Valley). Free parking was available.
The location is perfect if you don't have a car but want to go on small day trips around the area using public transportation: close to Noboribetsu JR station, just 12mins by bus to get to Nonoribetsu Onsen (Hell Valley), you can also take a shuttle bus for Chitose Airport nearby. Delicious breakfast included, one of the best coffe we had in Japan! I highly suggest buying their soft ice-cream, it's superb.
The service was spectacular.
Every detail of the kaiseki dinner was special, it was in the private room and the access was easy and with privacy.
We got a bedroom with a private onsen. The temperature of the water was perfect.
You have to choose the hour of the dinner and breakfast, then I understood the reason, it was meticulously prepared for you.
Staff friend and communication in English was good.
Beautiful onsen and tattoo friendly.
Delicious food (dinner and breakfast) served in rooms.
Complimentary free drinks and delicious milk.
Free shuttle service from and to the Noboribetsu station.
Walking distance from the main attractions of Jigokudani Valley.
Staffs are friendly, Kaiseki dinner and breakfast are delicious, love the tatami room and bedding, private onsen in the room is big enough to fit two ladies.
Good location, the donan bus stop is just right in front of the property. Hotel is near to Hell Valley and the main street. Overall happy with the stay.
Great onsen hotel in a fantastic location . Everything is reachable on foot and the onsen facilities were one of the best we have seen. Also very comfortable futon beds , much better than any Japanese room we stayed in before .
The slides in the outdoor onsen were awesome for our young kids!
The hotel is huge and rooms are spacious and well-designed. We enjoyed the experience and food selections, as well as the onsen. The hotel is located close to Jigokudani and the shopping street. Most of all, transport to the hotel from Sapporo was free and very convenient.
I stayed in the suite room with indoor onsen bath tub on a half board basis. The room was clean and spacious. Both breakfast and dinner were buffets with a wide variety of food. Everything was really good. I must say it was worth the price I paid.
Service for the Ryokan was to be expected. They lay out the futon/beddings for you. The private and public onsen were clean and very good. Breakfast and dinner is great. Dinner is very plentiful so empty stomachs are required.
Lovely country style ryokan hotel in the heart of Noboribetsu. Easy access to Hells Valley And surrounding country walks, shops and tourist spots. great onsen experience with really potent Geo thermal waters.
Small family run traditional ryokan onsen - old decor 80s,a genuine Japanese experience. Did not want to stay in a large resort. Free drinks 1-5pm. We had our dinner served in our
Onsen was fantastic. Room was very spacious. Great location as it is directly in front of the bus stop. Breakfast was good with a wide a right of food. Hotel is well managed.
The onsen was amazing, we spent there 2hours! The hotel has restaurants inside which was really convenient as many places tend to close early in the area.
