ties Camp Ground Nagiso, hotel in Nagiso

Providing free Wifi, private parking, and a garden, the recently renovated property ties Camp Ground Nagiso offers rooms in Nagiso, 22 miles from Ōi and 22 miles from Enakyo Wonderland.

Beautiful location with very new and well designed facilities. Although we slept in a tent, it was as comfortable as any hotel rooms. If you are walking the Nakasendo, this place is ideal to stay between Nagiso and Nojiri. We woke up, had some breakfast and started walking right away. From the hotel, you can spend a good 3-4 hours in the beautiful woods and villages of Nagano. The owners were very helpful pointing us to the best route to Nojiri and giving us guidance on train schedules etc.

Tokonamiso, hotel in Nagiso

Located in a forest, Tokonamiso offers a nature retreat with Japanese-style rooms, barbecue facilities and free WiFi access in the lobby area.

There were no meals included, but we knew in advance that we need to eat before we arrive. The Japanese style room was large, but not really comfortable for my western standards. The evening receptionist did whatever he could for us.

The space! Being Australian, we struggled with small Japanese hotel rooms, but this was just wonderful - spacious, clean and we loved the futons - so comfortable. The private hot onsen was fantastic too - well worth the extra money.

Guesthouse SHIGI, hotel in Nagiso

I loved everything about this place. Absolutely the highlight of my trip. And funny enough, there was no other guests so I had the whole place to myself! The town is very cute and the house is just incredible. It had everything a person could ask for in an accommodation. Everything works perfectly. The design is very beautiful. The house is even more beautiful in real life. I will never forget it. I think I told Assi how much I loved it too many times :) Assi was the most helpful host, he was very friendly, curious to know about my trip, he even picked me up from the station when I unfortunately missed the train. And dropped me off to the bus stop when I wanted to visit the near village. I hope to visit it again in future. Thank you again, thank you very much.

The house is just gorgeous. Very comfortable, super clean, super tasteful design. On top of, Takashi, who owns/operates a record shop/café next door was the most caring and attentive host you could wish for. He made us feel at home from our arrival. It’s a cute little village. Bakery, ramen shop, grocery. What else do you need. Moving uphill from the place we found beautiful country side views and met really nice people. What a hidden gem. 🙏

Visited three areas this time: Narai-juku/ Tsumago-juku/...

Visited three areas this time: Narai-juku/ Tsumago-juku/ Magome-juku: all are very nicely reserved areas and the hotel is located close except for Narai-juku (70km away). Had a 100% Soba twice at lunch nearby : both are very good. Dropped in several Michi-no-Eki and bought local foods and items at half of them.
