First and only time on a ryokan, so I can't compare it to anything else.
Mr. Murayama was the perfect host, welcoming, helpful and incredibly kind. He speaks English too, which is a bonus.
Family run ryokan, with private rooms and private and shared bathrooms. Also private and public indoor onsen, that we made use of kindly.
We tried the japanese breakfast one day and added a lot to the experience.
The room was huge and beds comfortable.
Despite being far from the centre, there's a free shuttle bus service that Mr Murayama himself provides. 10/10.
