The location was excellent for visiting the museum. The hotel staff was responsive to our complaints and changed our room; we were upgraded to a suite, which was more comfortable and spacious.
I rate the hotel as 5 because the staff responded to our complaints. But as a hotel, it merits a 2 or 3.

La colazione sulla terrazza con vista sullo stretto!
There was a lot of garbage in the streets. Looks like it’s not collected very often which is a pity. Most pavements need to be redone as there are a lot of cracks and potholes. The main shopping area is very clean and well kept though. Trains are very punctual. Only had one delay but it wasn’t their fault as their was a fire somewhere. And only one hour delay so the train after that was on schedule.
One other thing, the evening train going to Lamezia terme on a Saturday evening was full of youngsters and the boys were extremely rowdy and noisy to the extent of making me feel uncomfortable even though I wasn’t traveling alone.

The room is centrally located. Just 10 minute walk to th archeological museum, the duomo and the beach walk. Lovely town. The host was very attentive. Despite being in the centre of the city, the room was very quiet

The main attraction is the National Archeological Museum containing the Riace bronzes. The museum is excellent with almost everything explained in good English captions.

Pleasant, friendly and helpful people.
Pleasant, friendly and helpful people. We went to see the famous Riace Bronze statutes in the Museum. The staff there were informative and accommodating. It was a nice town to stroll around with the main street being a pedestrian precinct

Reggio Calabria is worth a short visit, 2-3 days at the most...
Reggio Calabria is worth a short visit, 2-3 days at the most. It could be a good base for day trips to other towns and beach areas such as Tropea and Scilla. There’s not a lot to see in Reggio; the Archeological Museum is the main attraction.
Day to day life is traditional Sicilian, English is not spoken as readily as on the mainland. Typically, restaurants open at 8:00pm for dinner…almost nothing is open earlier other than a gelateri or coffee bar. This is mainly a pedestrian city.

The decoration was amazing. more suitable for honeymooners. Including champagne and lots of hearts spread throuout the room.
The lady that received us gave us some pointers on where to eat and cared enough to ask us what kind of breakfast we'd prefer. Everything was tip top! This was definately the best breakfast we had in italy!
The house includes a very big balcony. you can stay there and do some sun bathing.
The shared kitchen is equipped with everything you may need
The owners were really helpful. Although generally Italians do not seem to know English (in terms of communication), nevertheless the owners tried hard and in the end we reached an understanding on everything! They answered any question within the booking app in minimum time. I needed a taxi very early in the morning, which was arranged for me immediately and without any problems.
I sureley would choose "La casa del cuore" again for my stay in Reggio di Calabria.
The keepers of the room were EXTREMELY kind and helpful, the most friendly we've encountered in all of Italy. They were obviously excited to have us staying there. :) They let us put our bikes in the stairway early, hours before check in, which helped us out immensely. They also let us hang out in the common area even after checkout because it was a rainy day. They were super communicative over Wattsapp too!
Staff was grrat!!! The property is close to airport (walkable)
When we asked how long a walk and instead of just saying the directions they walked us to it so we wouldn't get lost trying to make an early morning flight
Property is basic, but we'll maintained. If you need a place to stay to make a flight, this is it.
convenient location for rail travellers, our contemporary style room in this well run hotel was clean and had a very comfortable bed, good shower and wifi. we were particularly grateful to the helpful receptionist who found us a room for an early check in, as we arrived wet from the pouring rain.
The B&B was clean, comfortable and Claudio and family were so kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! We had an extended family trip so we stayed in all four rooms which was just perfect. the location was perfect for our needs as well. (easy walk from ferry, short drive to the airport)
I stayed in this hotel, only for one night, and particularly appreciated the receptionist, who went out of her way to help me with everything: a truly professional and kind person. It's a very simple yet decent place. I also liked the breakfast and the view from the breakfast room.
The hosts were extremely kind and helpful! The breakfast was amazing and they went out of their way to help in any way they could. I have stayed in hotels around Calabria and when I return I will not stay anywhere else besides Casa Canale. Amazing service and place!
Everything ia perfect.
From the furniture up to the clean.
I never take shower without flip flops. Here I took, because the floor was 150% clean
Employee very helpful and easygoing.
Bed, pillow, towels, mattress same quality as 5 star hotels
Nice breakfast
the Junior suite we stayed in was ok, the view was obstructed due to work is being done, the hotel is close to the corso where the main shopping stores are located, the breakfast buffet has good selection, you pay extra for omellet. staff were nice.
such a perfect location to visit the main sites of Reggio di Calabria. The hostess was delightful. so friendly and so accommodating. I would definitely return and recommend it to family & friends.
Everything was OK and the hotel room looked exactly as expected. Small rooms but comfy beds. The AC system is a bit difficult to understand but works fine.
great location, great room and great owner! Reggio Calabria was a unexpected pleasant discovery; worth a visit! Very easy to find a parking round the hotel
