The family was phenomenal! I appreciated all their kindness and assistance.

Albergo Anna is located in the picturesque old town of Perugia, and given the steep climb up from the railway station, the only way to reach it is by taking the MiniMetro and then the escalators (unless your budget extends to getting a taxi). But once there, it is a convenient location from which to reach all the sights.
The albergo is old, but that is part of the appeal, however don't expect mod-cons everywhere.
Cesare, who does a lot of the work, was very helpful.
Hotel Europa is a friendly, family-run 3-star hotel located in an Art Nouveau building in Perugia, near the escalator to the historic centre. Some rooms offer views of the Umbrian hills.

As we planned to use Perugia as our base, we wanted to be close to the city center, but also be able to easily leave the city by car to visit other locations. Thus, the Hotel Europa was perfect for our needs. The view from our room was excellent, the room was fairly comfortable and breakfast was decent. The hotel also provides affordable parking on site.
Situated in the medieval town of Castel Rigone, this countryhouse is housed in a 17-century building, and it offers breathtaking views of Trasimeno Lake and Umbria’s unspoilt countryside.

Set in the historic centre of Perugia, family-run Primavera Mini Hotel offers city views and is a 5-minute walk from Perugia Cathedral. Rooms here have free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

Pleasantly surprised to find breakfast provided in the room and replenished every day. A very satisfying croissant and French toast with jam. Delicious.
Short, atmospheric walk to the main centre. Perugia not suitable for the immobile and the hotel did have two flights of stairs but easy steady climb and worth it for the bedroom views.
Kettle and fridge in the room and the most amazing shower. Really comfy bed. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
The modern Hotel La Meridiana features a large garden, with swimming pool overlooking the Umbrian hills. It offers free parking, and soundproofed rooms with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi access.
Just around the corner from Palazzo dei Priori, Hotel Umbria provides affordable accommodation right in Perugia's historic centre. The hotel includes a charming terrace.
