The delicious breakfast, fresh croissants and puff pastry are the highlight of the menu. Hospitality, flexibility and kindness of the owners was amazing. The place is silent and near to the beach. This is a great set.

Very nice hotel. Receptionist was the nicest person, thank you! Lava rocks were instead of regular beach, but impressive. Old building with antiques around, vintage furniture and so on. Breakfast was excellent, everything you need, blood orange fresh juice was mouth watering, eggs, salami, cheese and of course sweet Italian pastries. Quite place with stunning views!
Hotel “La Riva” is a charming family-run establishment situated in the small seaside resort of Giardini Naxos, site of the first Greek colony on Sicily.

I loved everything about this flat. Comfortable and big.
I loved everything about this flat. Comfortable and big. Strong WiFi. Nice high ceilings. Wonderful host.
But the surroundings are just absolutely stunning. So wonderful to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee on the terrace with a view of the Etna and trees all around. And then to walk up to the village and being greeted by the horses and cats.
Very, very much recommended!

We used it as a cheap place to stay after spending the day in Taormina. This worked relatively well, there is a bus from the nearby train station that takes you to Taormina. Taormina is a very beautiful but very expensive tourist resort, so Giardini Naxos is a cheaper alternative. We were there off season so most of the restaurants were closed, but we found one that was open, which was within walking distance.

Giardini Naxos means beach, sun and short trips.
Giardini Naxos means beach, sun and short trips. It is an excellent resort. It is close to a lot attractions, with accessible beaches, a typical resort with a cute center with colorful buildings, with many accommodation facilities, numerous restaurants and cafes, from which you can choose. It would be ideal to rent a car to be able to explore the very spectacular surroundings: Castelmola, Isola Bella, Taormina, Etna, Acireale, Catania, Syracuse, Ortygia.

Picturesque beach resort with nice views over the bay and up...
Picturesque beach resort with nice views over the bay and up to Taormina and Castelmola. Plenty of choices of beach clubs on the sea front. There were a couple of spots on the beach where you could sit for free but we preferred to pay €15-€20 for the added comfort of loungers and an umbrella in the beach clubs. Our favourite was Lido La Romantica as we thought their food and bar offering was the best. Lido Di Naxos is great for kids though as there is a good playground, which our toddler loved.
There were plenty of restaurants lining the seafront and a couple of bars for aperitifs. Our favourite bar was C'era cu C'era. Very refreshing limoncello spritz with generous measures!
We had a relaxing week, but there isn't an awful lot to see or do, so I think we may have been a little bored, had we stayed longer. We had stayed in Taormina the previous week and there's plenty to see and explore, there. It's only 20 minutes on the bus so I would recommend at least a day trip there if you are staying in Naxos.

Pleasant, relatively quiet seaside resort with great bars,...
Pleasant, relatively quiet seaside resort with great bars, restaurants and beaches. Good connections by bus to Taormina, Catania , Siracusa and (if you're feeling more adventurous) Ragusa. Our regular "watering hole" was Il Baretto , on the front. Lovely cakes and ice cream , excellent coffee and very, very helpful staff. We also had evening drinks at the Lido di Naxos and particularly enjoyed the very talented young musician who played there on Saturday 26th September. The Saturday market was also good fun and a great place for bargain hunting.
The beach is great. There are not a lot people on it and even if they come it doesn'T feel crowded. It is sand/pebbles with a great view of Etna. There are beach towels available at the beach which is good, but also mixed feeling about having to pay for them at the hotel. The location of the hotel is also good because you can discover Giardini Naxos by foot. A la card food at the beach fish restaurant was great. The hotel was clean. There are golf carts if you have troubla walking which can drive you around the premises.
Located 20 meters to the beachfront you couldn't have asked for a better home. The house itself seemed newly renovated and the two bedrooms are perfect for a family of four. And as you will most likely spend your day on the beach, the living space was sufficient. To accomodate for the hot nights, the bedrooms and living rooms are equipped with ACs and fans. The owner was a really nice and welcoming man helped us with any questions we had. All in all 10/10, definitely recommended.
We had an amazing time at this hotel, it actually exceeded my expectations from every point of view. The hotel is spacious, the rooms modern, many facilities including tennis court and large gym, private beach, swimming pools, huge garden. The view from the room was amazing and the service was excellent. I’d like to say thank you to Anna at the reception for great local recommendations and for Nuzio from the restaurant for his great and welcoming service. I will come back soon!
Property is clean and close to the very nice beach. Clean rooms with listed amenities. Some quick snacks are available in room (biscuits, jam etc.) should you need to have a bite. Some restaurants are within short walking distance. The reception girl Carmella is simply amazing - she answered all of our questions and helped us in everything we needed - I wish all hotels would have staff like her. Paid public parking is just in front of the property (15 EUR per 24 hours per car).
We loved it! It’s a classic older hotel filled with interesting antiques and decore and lots of character. The room was very clean and had a fridge. There’s a cozy bar inside. It has a lift and a parking garage. The hotel staff were very friendly. The location is oceanfront with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Beach lidos are also within walking distance. Fantastic view from the oceanfront balcony.
We spent a wonderful weekend here and would love to stay again.
Everything. It left like a villa not a hotel. Large room and big updated bathroom. Fantastic breakfast served in a glass building in the garden. Free off street gated parking. Nearby restaurants. Bus stop in front of building. only five rooms so small and intimate. Gorgeous sea view from balcony. Best of all? Maria the innkeeper who was fabulous and so friendly and helpful. She is one of those people who makes the property so special!
The experience as a whole was fantastic! The staff at the hotel are amazing and went out of their way numerous times to ensure we had the best trip possible! The views from the room and breakfast are outstanding and the breakfast itself is great. Location is brilliant too as you're close to the touristy area of Taormina but just far enough for a cheap bus ride in and in the perfect area for authentic Sicily!
I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. Their kindness and friendliness were truly exceptional. Even after we checked out, they continued to assist us with matters unrelated to our stay. It felt like they genuinely cared, providing a level of personal service that made us feel valued, not just another client. Highly recommended!
Perfect location to explore the East (NE) side of Sicily - very easy to get there and fast to reach other locations. It is not far away even for walking in Giardini Naxos, the neighborhood is quiet.
Delicious and varied breakfast; warm and welcoming super-hosts; free and safe parking; we thought we will have a balcony, but we had a big terrace with beautiful Etna view + we slept very well.
The hotel is near to the beach, rooms are extremely clean, there is a coffee machine in the room and it was really nice and helpful. The receptionist are friendly and polite people. Last day even we chech out the room at 10 am.they gave us another room for taking a shower. Really fabulous hotel. We will come back again for sure 😊
The best hotel I have ever been. Very good standard, clean, and tasty breakfast for very good price. Owner and staff are very nice people. It's near to the beach and restaurants and 20minutes to Taormina.
I highly recommend this Hotel Costa Azzur.
I would like to come back here.
Thank you very much for this great accomodation! :)
Very comfortable hotel beside the sea, very close to bus station to Taormina (15 min) Catania and AirPort. You have a LOT of nice beaches (paied and unpaid) and restuarants.
Friorella atreception was so helpfull, and sesrched about transport and the times for different activities. So nice breakfast with sea view at terrace.
An oasis in which to enjoy all the delights of Sicily. A wonderful host, with the best of breakfasts we enjoyed during or travels. The addition of home made pizzas on our first night, made by Davide and served outdoor on the terrace was a truly special occasion. Lovely pool with great views of Etna.
It was really a great value for the money, just few steps from the beach. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, the breakfast in the cafe bar was good (although there was just pastry option – but that's nothing new in Sicily). The room was older but very clean.
The hotel is located in a nice position, not far from the heart of Recanati, at walking distance from the seaside of Giardini Naxos and close to a nice public beach. The rooms are clean and everything works substantially as promised
Great location with a wonderful patio. A very quiet place close to beach and restaurants. The bus stop to Taormina was very close. It had a good laundry set up. We stayed 3 nights and wished we had booked for more nights.
Great hospitality, great perosnnel and amazing view from the room we got. The hotel was clean and it is one of the best hotels in Sicily. Special thanks for the hospitality from Filippo.

We had everything we needed and the parking space was close by. Great location for restaurants and groceries. Very close to the beach. It was clean and well set up. On the balcony we could see what was going on.
Nicely done studio apartment with lots of high quality upgrades. Nice touches like wine and other welcome items. Full studio-size kitchen. Close to the beach. Awesome bakery next door.
We liked the large albeit old fashioned rooms. Staff were good. Location was ok but we could walk to main Giardini Naxos strip in 10 minutes. Pebbly beaches but the water was amazing.
