The location was amazing. Accesible only by car. But the view is breathetaking: over the hills, very authentic agroturismo.
The interior is rustic, the big terrace is facing the hills and the sunset.
The apartment is very spacious and can accomodate large families ( there are more bedrooms open depending on the number of the guests).
The host was also amazing, they were preparing dinner for us in both nights we stayed: delicious local dishes and wine! The atmosphere was completed by italian music.
Breakfast was included in the room rate and was served on the terrace.
This is a family owned business and they are doing it very well. Congratulation!
Just 300 metres from Erice Castle, Antico Borgo Erice is set on the main street of this historical town. This characteristic stone building offers rooms and an apartment, each with a balcony.

The location is absolutely stunning, inside the walls of Erice and across from the view. Parking was convenient in front of the unit. The property is spacious light filled and tidy. The hostess was welcoming and we felt looked after.

Erice is a very charming town, and worth a visit, but only if you're able to walk steep hills and cobblestones. Maria Grammatico's pastry shop was a highlight for us, as was just walking around the town. Do be sure to 1) download EasyPark or a similar parking-pay app before you go, and if you stay in one of the hotels overnight, be sure to also download WhatsApp as most of the smaller Italian hotels use that to communicate.
All the food we had was great; prices were reasonable; not a lot of tourists, but even in early May, there were some.
We took a taxi up, which was pricer than the cable car, but I don't like heights!

Very old town with many things to see.
Very old town with many things to see.
Many restaurants for all kinds of food.
Since Erice is high up in the mountains, there are few level areas. Great for keeping in shape! You cannot get lost. It's a small town. Evenings get cooler, so bring a jacket if you plan to eat on a terrace.

The community has a nice offer for 12 Euro to enter all churches and monuments in the village. It can easily keep you busy and running around for a day in the village. A bus from/to the village from Trapani is 2,90 Euro and takes about 45 min. The Funivia (cable car is 6,50 Euro and takes about 20 min + the local AST 21 or 23 bus to take you there for 1,40 Euro). I saved one cable car ride for the last evening just as an experience enjoying the sunset views and using it as a way to reach the village late. The last bus from Trapani is 17.30 the last cable car around 20.00.

Apartment is located in the center of the old town, which is very nice. What we didn't like is a horrible and continuous noise coming from the water pomp, that we heard in our room. It was impossible to relax with this sound. Moreover we booked an apartment with a kitchen, which we didn't have. The host told us it was put in the add by mistake.

It's a fascinating medieval town where we spent many hours, we also had a lovely lunch at the convent restaurant.
We also went on the cable car with its fantastic view of Trapani below. There was actually nothing to do at the bottom so be went back up to Erice!
Nicely located near main gate to Erice. our room had an outstanding sea view. the breakfast was good. We made plans to be met at the town gates, be driven to our hotel, to have our car taken away to be parked and to be returned to us when we left. It worked perfectly. The hotel was quiet. Someone we met said they found it noisy. we had no such problem at all.
The location of the former Convent is very good considering that one must walk around to visit attractions in Erice. In a few minutes you can easily reach the centre. The room was very tidy and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful indeed. Also parking was not an issue since our visit was exactly after the start of free parking period.
the property was outstanding very clean, in a perfect location, the staff so polite and helpful, they knew we were leaving early in the morning and left for us breakfast in the room the night before! I would always go back there when staying in Erice! Also they made us look at several other rooms in case we liked those better!
the photos do not do this place justice. it is gorgeous and very large. lots of space to enjoy your stay. great for families. there are lots of animals, amazing gardens and walking paths. perfect to use as a base and take road trips from. the beaches are very close too. downtown Trapani is about ten minutes drive away.
The apartment is huge, with an enormous sitting room, a kitchen/ dining room and large bathroom. It also has a nice balcony and a terrace overlooking the garden. There is also private parking on the premises. Very close to the cable car to Erice and the bus stop to go right to the old town.
This is extremely beautiful house with lots of hand-made details. Meeting a sunrise in Erice was amazing, so I definitely recommend to stay there!
But keep in mind, it is quite a cold place, there was no heating, we had plenty of blankets for the night, we stayed in the beginning of May.
Great lodging option in Erice, with good-looking and spacious rooms. The host is also very attentive and provides lots of good recommendations for Erice (and surrounding area). A great perk is the free parking, which actually also happens to provide for a fantastic sunset view.
Great location in beautiful medieval town of Erice. Very comfortable room. Large bathroom with extraoridinary large shower for 2 people (very comfortable). Plus very nice terrace. All in the complex built in XV century (previously a monastery).
Maurizio kindly collected us from the car park. Room was good. Bombarded with information about private parking and how to access it, but none of it was relevant because parking in Erice was free over the winter.
Very nice hotel in Erice. The breakfast could be a bit better though, but maybe it was because we were the last to eat and 1-2 things had finished. The view of the seaside is amazing from the balconies!
Host was very nice, spoke fluent English, dinner excellent, room clean. Rustic country side style, in a little town. The price is fair what you get in comparisson to other sites we stayed in Sicily.
The hosts were lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served on the terrace and was delicious. The location was close to restaurants and sights in Erice.
Gorgeous building and spacious rooms; very comfortable stay. Perfect location for walking Erice and excellent communication with staff despite all remote check-in.
Great location, amazingly helpful staff, exceptional view from our room. Breakfast included. Airport transfer from Trapani Airport easily arranged by hotel.
The host were wonderful. The property was on 3 levels and had a wonderful roof top view of Trapani below. They provided many small treats, coffee, and wine
Friendly host, parking in front of the house on the calm street. Nearby to the sea, Trapani/Erice. Next to the Pizzolungo hill. Good coffee and breakfast.
