The hot tubs were a great experience at the end of a long drive across the Icelandic south coast. There was a slight smell of sulphur to the tap water, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to such things. A great place to stay during the off-season; a complimentary room upgrade was a very welcoming touch.

The property is warm and friendly, with a family atmosphere. We arrived late and left early, so we didn't get to experience all the estate had to offer. However, it looked like there was much to explore.

We didn't actually get chance to see much of Selfoss itself as we were using the apartment as a Base for other excursions, great for south coast & golden circle as long as you're comfortable driving a hire car.
We are looking forward to visiting again in the future & seeing even more!

The Town has grown since I visited 7 years ago.
The Town has grown since I visited 7 years ago. The town pool is a great spot to go and relax. There is a fabulous food court across the street from the Hotel Selfoss -- great spot for drinks and dinner. You can still get a good hot dog in the parking lot of the Hotel Selfoss. The town is well located to visit waterfalls, geysers, and thermal pools. I would return.

A friendly town - we stayed in the camper site which was great and then a return visit to stay in a hotel and we ate in the food hall which was nice with options and variety. We also did the Skyr tour in the basement of the food hall. I would add that a wider and more of the “taste” section would be nice.
It’s a central spot to come back to or travel from and back if that suits your travel plans.

Selfoss has a sweet, mostly walkable, growing center that includes an easy, level river-walk. We found enough variety in the food hall to keep us well-fed and happy with the choices over several days. (It was recommended to us by a rental car agent at KEF. She was rightly enthusiastic about the tacos - and just about everything was solid!) Selfoss is also a great location near the Southern Coast for easy, varied day-trips - everything from amazing waterfalls to black-sand beaches, from otherworldly volcanic deposits to hot-springs, craters, and more. With Selfoss as our lodging spot, we could have happily explored for several more days.

Nice quiet town with more than just the waterfall.
Nice quiet town with more than just the waterfall. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Þingvellir national park is nearby with great views, hiking and (of course) several waterfalls. The fall colors were out during our visit the last week of September and only last a few days.
The bed was comfortable and quilt was warm. Very helpful to have luggage rack at foot of each bed. Good sized bathroom with 2 sinks. Loved the shower – good water pressure and temperature controlled via panel.
Restaurant at hotel served a delicious dinner and there was a generous breakfast spread. Hotel has a thermal bath with both indoor and outdoor pools.
We were so blessed to see the aurora from the terrace just outside our room. It was more than an hour of glorious display of Northern Lights 😊
Great location and good base to discover the Golden Circle. Very original housing, confortable even with 2 kids (there is a second bed on the top of the main one), surprisingly quite spacious. Possible to sit outside to enjoy the surrounding forest, it was my daughter's birthday and she loved the setting. There is a shop and restaurant 5mn walk so it is very practical, there is a small kitchen inside the dome with all amenities.
we stopped at the hotel to collect the keys, then went to our little cottage. the rooms were comfy. the hot tub was HOT and we enjoyed a dinner at the hotel restaurant. Food was delicious. Breakfast was not included in the stay and we didn't eat breakfast because we were on to the next location. This cottage was great so we could chat well into the evening without disturbing other guest.
This is a cozy charming hotel in what seems like a middle of nowhere. It's a type of a wooden chalet and was warm and nice inside on the contrast with cold and drenching rain outside at the time of the visit.
Big bonus was the restaurant inside the hotel which was already mentioned by many here - it was a buffet and had delicious home made food I guess icelandic style (you had pay extra).
It was great to have a "king" bed, even if it was two singles pushed together. Most places we found in Iceland had small beds, and it was comfortable. The bathroom was also large and had great pressure in the shower. It was nice having a restaurant downstairs, although we chose to walk to the nearby downtown establishments. It was nice to be close enough to walk.
Everything was great! Very well located, right in the town centre, but out of the noisiest road. 5 min walking distance to Food Hall, a venue with several restaurants and a bar. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast - superb 😋
There is a spa which we did not come to try (3000 kr for the guests) and a gym (very tiny).
Super comfortable place!
Location, baths, style, amenities, facilities, restaurant, breakfast, staff, dogs (yes, they have two lovely dogs there)... everything is flawless.
So If you need a base to explore the Golden Circle and adjacent areas, this is the perfect place.
To sum up, 360 is my favourite hotel in Iceland, and I hope to be back soon. <3
Clean; a lot of extras like ice cube trays, scissors, etc.; hot tub; beautiful & convenient location; modern; big area to hang out together and space to have alone time too. After being in a car together for a week, it was great to play games together and then each retreat to our own rooms.
This hotel is charming. When you are in the restaurant having dinner or breakfast (all homemade and extremely good), it is as if you were in 1890. Because of the decoration, of course. The staff is very friendly, the beds are very comfortable and the outdoor hot pot is wonderful.
The apartment had a private entrance, was spacious, well located for shops and restaurants, well kitted out and clean. We enjoyed living in a smart residential road, in what was a family home. Our hosts always answered our queries. Highly recommended.
Spacious, clean, homey. (Clearly someone's home at one point.) Central location in Selfoss meant we could walk to many restaurants and shopping (e.g. Kronan) A great base for exploring Golden Circle destinations.
The location is great, perfect for mid way stay after visiting the “Gold Circle” before going further to the south coast. Vary clean and spacious, good for family travel. A washer in the house is a plus.
