The location was close to the water, the various tourist attractions, pubs. The outside patio was enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Local businesses lacked the customer service mentality that seems prevalent throughout Ireland. Very few dining options, most of them full. Cobh is a small town easily covered in an afternoon, and nothing about the local populace invites much engagement. It was a drab experience overall.

Cobh is delightful, quite small but with many things to do mainly concerned with history of the town. It is associated with the Titanic, but amazingly the infrastructure for the big liners is still there: the White Star Line and Cunard offices are still there as is the train station which brought so many travellers to the town. There are plenty of good restaurants in the town and the town is very easy to get around. The only problem is the hilliness of the town. Also Cork city is very close by.

A picturesque little spot set on a steep hill. Beautiful views, fantastic cathedral, interesting Titanic Experience museum. Trips out to Spike Island although we didn’t have time to visit. Easy distance for Cork City and Blarney Castle which are both recommended.

I didn't realize that Cobh was so small and booked two nights there. In hindsight I should have just made it a day trip from Cork. I visited the Titanic Experience which was very informative. It is only about 45 minutes long so I recommend checking it out. There is a completely gluten free cafe there called Hoban's Treats, which was great for me as I am celiac. However, my kids also enjoyed their cake and cookies. I was only let down by two things. The boat trips to Spike island stop at around 2pm and I wasn't aware of that. Also, a number of restaurants were closed even though their sites and Google had them as open. It was difficult to find a place to have dinner that could cater for my dietary requirements.

What a spot. The most beautiful town, with a strong history.
What a spot. The most beautiful town, with a strong history. Locals are great people and the pubs a joy. The standard of music and musician's on show I can only put on a par with the city of Liverpool.
Cobh is a jewel in Irelands crown
A beautiful Victorian house set in gorgeous gardens and location; A leisurely 10-15 minute walk to the center of Cobh. Our host Ronnie, was very welcoming, helpful and informative of what to do and see locally.
Our room was clean and inviting and the large bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was in the large conservatory with spectacular views, and was first class with a wide selection to choose from. I would definitely choose to stay at the Oakhurst again and will recommend to friends who may be visiting that area.
Out of 12 B&Bs I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Ireland, this guesthouse was easily #1. My hosts, Maire and Joe, could not have been kinder. My room was quite large; the bed very comfortable; the ambiance quiet. Maire adjusted breakfast to address my allergies - it was delicious. She gave me several suggestions of things to do and see during my stay - all of them spot on. I recommend this guesthouse unreservedly and with true enthusiasm to anyone traveling to Cobh.
The bedrooms were enormous and immaculate. The house, whilst huge, retains a warm and homely atmosphere. The host was delightful, warm and welcoming, helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to to make us feel at home and even bought me some bread mix to take home as I loved her daily freshly baked bread so much! The location was perfect to discover this beautiful and historic part of Ireland. Would happily recommend to anyone visiting cobh.
At first we didn’t really prepare for being part of someone else’s home, and to be treated so well. The hosts are fantastic, made us feel very very welcome, a totally different and wonderful experience from any other b+b or hotel we have stayed in Ireland. View of the bay was wonderful, and the breakfast (with surprise twist) was also wonderful.
Our stay was excellent and great value for money. The staff members were extremely helpful and were extremely polite. We were so happy with our stay at The Commodore Hotel, we shall stay the several more times, over the coming months. Oh! The location of Thr Commodore Hotel is brilliant. Thank you , Booking.com Sincerely, Johnny🤓
My room (16) was spacious and comfortable but, most importantly had a spectacular view so, overall my stay was enjoyable. However, It was also very noisy due to the kitchen located directly below. The location is great and the free underground parking is very convenient as street parking is tricky in Cobh.
We didn't have breakfast in hotel however we had dinner there two of the nights food good but menu limited we didn't want big meal one of the nights had toasted sandwiches they were delicious and served with chips but they stop serving these at 5pm chips were some of the best we ever had
I loved the grandeur of the place and the lady that owns it is very helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is great. Breakfast was fab with many choices. Loved the housecoats, the big towels and room was very big. Easy walk downtown to beautiful Cobh.
Grand old house in a quiet neighbourhood close to the downtown area of Cobh. Deirdre was very friendly and helpful. We had a nice evening in the backyard and then watched some of the queen’s funeral in the parlour with the fire going. A nice atmosphere.
Our host was wonderful and very helpful. The croissants were lovely. The room was set back from the hotel and was small but perfect for our stay, the kitchenette was a great bonus. It was on the main road close to train links and nearby pubs and eateries
Very nice hotel in a cute little harbour worth the visit (I recommend to stay in Cobh than Cork personally). Restaurant was also good with refined dishes on the menu. Pretty decent breakfast, well worth the value.
Spacious and welcoming. Excellent breakfast in the large dining room, and the sitting by the fireplace in the slicing room in the evening was an excellent way to wrap up a beautiful day spent exploring Cobh.
Lovely hotel and staff were very friendly. Family room was very large and spacious and also very clean. Lovely elevated spot with a great view of Cobh......
