When we requested a few extra little things that were missing (dish cloths, tea spoons and scissors) these were provided very quickly. When booking had gone through somehow it missed that we were bringing dogs!! A quick conversation with the hosts and this was quickly and positively sorted.

Breakfast choice was amazing. Plenty to choose from. Staff were so pleasant and always willing to help. Even had a little birthday card and yummy dessert for my little girl who was having her first birthday trip away with her sister and I. Honestly place was immaculate and so cosy. Well let's start at the most important aspect of any hotel in my opinion, the staff, and all I can say is the staff here are excellent, I found everyone I spoke to, from the guys at the desk, bar and serving staff, night porter, housekeeping, everyone, are so helpful, the hotel itself is in a fantastic location, it is virtually on the beach, which I must add has just been awarded a blue flag award, at least I think that's what it's called. The food is very good indeed and the rooms are bright and clean, and have all the usual TV, tea/coffee facilities, and I slept really well. If you are looking to stay in the local area then this is a no brainer, it really is a fantastic place to stay.

Spoon and the Stars Hostel is located in the walled town of Drogheda, and offers the perfect base from which to explore the historic Boyne valley.
