The location was ideal for us, we flew into knock airport and then drove to a show at the royal theatre in castle bar, grabbed a dominoes so didn’t really use the facilities but I’d have stayed forever if the childcare providers would’ve allowed.

We came by train to Castlebar. Rocklands Guesthouse is about 30 minutes walk from the station along quite busy road with no sidewalks mostly. Better take a taxi. There are two comfortable beds, hairdryer, TV and huge bathroom. House is very warm and you'll feel like home there. Hot beverages available.

The hotel is superbly appointed, the rooms immaculate with exceptional housekeeping, and the food and service a high standard. Most of all the staff I had dealings with were highly professional, polite and very empathic and understanding to the needs of the guest as an individual.
