The location is great, walking distance from the castle and the city centre - plus a couple of km from the Voidokilia Beach and Fortress. The house has two floors, it's very well equipped and high standard. Very nice experience. The sea-view is quite controversial but I didn't mind as we could stage Romeo & Juliet instead ;)

Everything we needed for a few days stay and a lovely view of the water. Anezina, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful.

Enjoyed Pylos - beautiful area with some lovely beaches.
Enjoyed Pylos - beautiful area with some lovely beaches. We were just unlucky with the property we chose.
Also a lot to see in the area - Methoni for example is worth a trip.
Pylos also has plenty of decent restaurants.

Pylos is a bit different than some Greek resorts that I have stayed at in so much that it is a Greek town that caters for tourism, rather than a tourist resort. Its a working town that retains its population with a marina, hardware shops and the like. Most of the people you meet are Greek as apposed to tourists although it is popular with German tourists. Whereas comfortable sunbed apartment / hotels based around a pool are very much the norm elsewhere I have stayed in Greece, they are not here. I stayed here for 6 nights and liked it very much. Its still very pretty with a bustling town square near the harbour with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Has lovely views across the bay. It felt a bit more 'real' in the sense of a Greek experience.

You have access to the following places which are worth visiting. The beautiful beach of Voidokilia. The beautiful nature reserve of Divari with its beautiful assortment of plants and bird life. The castle above Voidokilia and the the castle above the town of Pylos are both worth visiting.
You can dine in the fantastic sea restaurants of Pylos and the nearby Gialova restaurants.
If you are a golf player there are 4 superb golf courses which are run by the Costa Navarino resort.

We went to explore its ancient Greek heritage and nature reserves. Nestor's Palace is just accessible by bus but for a brief visit only, (Our was shortened by the late arrival of the only bus able to take us there.) Its accompanyong museum is currently unavailable. I like insects and natural history so we had hoped to visit the famous nature reserve near 'sandy Pylos' but this was impracticable. The area around the castle is interesting. We really needed a car.
Otherwise, we had a great time sitting in a local cafe watching the world go by.

Pylos is small town on sea.
Pylos is small town on sea. It´s little touristic but not too much. Very friendly people. Nice habour with many restaurants. Only one hour drive to Kalamata. Near Pylos is super resort Costa Navarino with four golf courses. Only negative thing is that playing is very expensive. It´s good place to explore Peloponnesos by car.

Beautiful picturesque fishing village; a cluster of friendly local cafes/restaurants located in square and adjacent harbour; excellent value with access to some of the best beaches in the world nearby
Best hotel position in Pylos – next to the castle, on a promontory with direct access to Navarino Bay.
Rooms comfortable with balcony sea view. Clean, serviced every day.
Breakfast was fabulous with a huge range of dishes both hot, cold and cooked to order. Greek and other breakfast treats on offer.
Finally the staff were excellent. In particular the front hotel desk staff were knowledgeable and readily available to answer any queries.
Our studio was very spacious, clean and with a fully equipped kitchen. Hospitality is also experienced through small details and there were a lot of well-thought provisions to use. During the night we could also see the beautiful summer sky from our studio's garden. On another note, although Vasiliki Residence is located on a quiet side of Pylos, it is very close to the center and a big super market is walking distance from there.
Great view, fantastic location, Very friendly and accomodating staff. Also great forethought: we were there to attend to a specific event that required a very early departure and the hotel was up-to-date, we did not even need to ask for it but they have already planned for an extra early breafast option for the attendees. Very clean and recently renovated. Great value for money
The hotel is literally built on the rocks with direct access to the sea. Nice room with a large balcony where you can see and hear the waves lapping on the rocks. Magical view. Breakfast was excellent including fresh orange juice and eggs on request. Staff were very kind and helpful. Bella the dog was adorable. We absolutely loved it.
The owner is very nice and very helpful. He will send me the message to remind for arrival time. And meet me exactly point.
Location is perfect .Just 5 minutes from square and very easy to find out restaurants & nice cafe.
Room is big and comfortable. Very new and clean also designed.( better than 4 star hotels )
Comfortable arrival, very comfortable villa, well appointed, stunning views. Vicky was ready to address any questions and concerns and the house is a three to five minute drive to the nearest supermarket and to the charming town of Pylos. Fantastic days out to beaches and waterfalls.
The rooms are large because it's a studio, the balcony is also very large with an amazing view. They have parking right in front of the hotel. You need a car to go to Pylos centre, it's not walking distance, and you always find free parking in the centre at at the port.
The location is stunning overlooking the harbour and within easy walking distance of good restaurants and cafes. The parking was excellent right across the street from the hotel. Swimming was good in the sea right in front of the hotel.
There is a small parking 100 metres above the hotel but you can also park in the streets around.
We got Athena room, it was spacious, well furnished and clean. The small terrace offers a great view over Pylos port.
Good location, a 10 minute walk to the centre of Pylos with it's lovely harbour and tavernas.
Modern, well decorated apartment with comfortable furniture, good internet and nice balcony with partial sea view.
This property is directly across from the sea. It is a great place to stay to explore Pylos and Gialova and the surrounding areas. The host was a great communicator and the property was easily accessible.
The view is amazing, Pylos city centre and harbor are quite charming with a lot of restaurants, superb beaches in the area, and Gialova village nearby hosts several excellent restaurants.
Hotel Miramare is a 10+! Great location, beautiful views of the bay and an outstanding breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Convenient free parking.
it’s a charming house in the outskirts of Pylos. great views and very friendly/helpful owners. the house is fully stocked and has everything you need, esp the kitchen.
