The hotel staff here are top-notch. Unbeatable views. The staff upgraded my room as a nice surprise. The food is good, especially compared to the rest of Oia. Recommend the crab salad, shrimp and the Santorinian salad. The loungers in the infinity pool are a nice touch and the pool lounge chairs are also super comfortable.
I stayed at Canaves Suites and Katikies(nearly next door). The service at Canaves Suites exceeded Katikies, and I wouldn’t have thought that possible. Staff is genuine.

Let me give it to you straight: Santorini is a marvel. The entire island offers up views of the Aegean Sea that make you question whether or not your eyes are deceiving you.
Add in the unique magic of The Andronis Boutique Hotel and reality becomes even harder to fathom. If it were any more gorgeous, travelers might think they were experiencing some sort of hoax, trick of the mind, or optical illusion. Perhaps that’s why they welcome you with a delicious glass of homemade sangria as soon as you arrive–so that your senses have time to adjust to the stunning panorama that surrounds you.
After the reception team gives you an explanation of the hotel grounds and maps out some of the main attractions in the town of Oia, they will lead you to your room. Be prepared for your jaw to hit the floor, again. All of the suites are built into the side of a cliff wall. According to a local tour guide, many of the hotel suites in the area were originally used by the Spartans as strategic look-out points. The caves were later occupied by Grecian fishermen, before eventually being remodeled into luxury hotel suites. Each suite has its own terrace and hot tub and unobstructed view of royal blue water below.
It’s the cavernous feel of the suites that makes you feel extra warm and cozy while staying with Andronis. Everything has a bit of a round edge; the white stone walls have retained some of their original curves, the ceiling is slightly arched, the doorways are arched, and even the shower has a domed-shape overhead and smooth stone underfoot. If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, you might feel like you’re a Hobbit with your own little apartment in The Shire.
Located on Oia’s most famous cliffs, Mystique features an infinity pool with a sun deck and a bar with breathtaking views to the Volcano and the Caldera.

Everything! Nikos and Amarissa made our stay perfect. We were surprise upgraded which was amazing as we were there for our honeymoon! It had a jacuzzi with the best view I have seen in my life. We are both vegan and they had great vegan options in the restaurant - they were also happy to make alterations and combine things. We were able to stay for a few hours before and after check in and they made it really comfortable and even gave us a little tour and history. All the staff were really attentive - said hello and goodbye whenever you came in or out, would give you water if you sat in the communal area. Best stay of my life! We are going to try to come back again next year.

Oia is a uniquely beautiful place.
Oia is a uniquely beautiful place. The views in all directions are stunning, particularly at sunset but any time really. The overall impression of white and blue buildings is magical. The local people were very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay in Oia.

Our decision to disembark at Oia Santorini was extempore at the end of our 7 day Greek Island cruise. It was mid March and just perfect in terms of weather and crowd. I went out for morning walks and I had the entire strip for myself. The weather was in 60s and 70s. No rain except for the last day. It was interesting to see the whole town getting ready for Spring and Summer. They were white washing walls and getting their commercial spaces ready.
Very few places have impressed me with the esthetic beauty like this. The nature and the man-made structures compete for the attention and they co-exist. The beauty is stunning and it takes 48 hours to stop taking photographs everywhere you go.
We stayed in Oia for six days. It was a long 3 days weekend and for Ash Monday. Only on one of these 6 days, we saw some crowds at the Sunset point and it wasn't pleasant. Many restaurants were open. Restaurants on the main strip are expensive for eating out every day. You can explore the off beaten paths to find hidden gems that that charge you non-tourist rates.. You can also shop at the local grocery store and eat selectively at restaurants.
If you don't like crowds and waiting in the lines, I highly recommend visiting in March and November. I heard stories from locals that the Summer has been very crowded in the past few years. The cruise ships have made the matters worse.
Here are some recommendations.
Restaurants: Candouni - Must try for dining,
Cafe popular with locals. Piatsa Souvlaki. Excellent food.
Skiza cafe.- Pizza, Sandwiches, Ice cream.
Morning coffee and snacks. : Passaris bakery

Because we went slightly off season, the beginning of October, we enjoyed less tourists. I cannot imagine July/August heat and crowds. We did a sunset catamaran cruise, really recommend that, for a once in a lifetime day trip. Lots of great restaurants around and lots of scams so be careful. Cabs are expensive, so ask up front. Buses take forever and minibuses drop you off any old where......If you book a lovely hotel with transportation included you'll be fine. Ammoudi beach is a great sunset spot with yummy food......

Doesn't have much but the sunset is amazing. Not because we were in the off season it just that the place is simple. Not much to do. Maybe sunset cruise, island tour but that's it. The selling point of this location is the sunset

Best sunset, best market, best restaurants and such a beautiful pathways to walk on. Amoudi bay is great location with number of great restaurants for the sea food. Very crowded in the evening due to sunset experience. Spot the sunset location and reach in advance to grab a place normally on the castle or any cliff side walk-ways. Pito-gyro is best for the gyros and Lolita ice-creams are must try. Karma restaurant for vegan and healthy choices with great ambience.

Oia, was Awesome!!
Oia, was Awesome!! Despina from Onar Villas greeted us on our arrival. I traveled with my daughter, and Despina was excellent!!! She helped us with everything. She informed us where and what to see and saved us money. Despina was very knowledgeable of Oia. She gave us many recommendations of where to go and what to see. We loved her. She was like a very caring mother to us, making sure we were happy and that we enjoyed our stay while we were here on her property. Her staff was incredible. Despina and her staff were fantastic!!! Our Onar villa, Dafne, was very charming. I didn't know what to expect. We had views of the calderas. Incredible, amazing views! The breakfast was great. We called, and it was there within the time promised. We had breakfast on our balcony every morning to enjoy our breathtaking views of the calderas. I would come here again. This was one of my favorite vacations!
The welcoming was perfect. The manager took time to explain more about Santorini and Oia. He also showed us the room and around the premises.
Breakfast was fab with part of it being fix and part à la carte delivered to the suite every morning at a time you decide on.
The suite was stunning and very clean. The cave pool was relaxing and the view……. Breathtaking!
I could go on for ages but I truly recommend this hotel for a couple of nights it is fabulously unique and special. Worth every penny and perfectly situated.
Very pretty hotel with a more "cluster of homes" feel (much typical of what one would hope for in santorini). The location is very close to the popular neighbourhood of oia and easily reachable by bus. The room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The pool is a big bonus after a long day trekking around the different villages. The breakfast is wonderful with multiple options including eggs, bread, fruits, juices among other things and kept us going till the evening! definitely a great deal !
The service at Hom Santorini is excellent!! All of the staff are super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We appreciated the room upgrade for our honeymoon trip! The superior suite is spacious, modern, and very clean with an amazing sea view. Hotel restaurant's chef Chris served delicious dinner and offered a great variety of breakfast choices for us to choose. Overall, we loved the hotel design and really enjoyed staying here more than we expected!!
This is the absolute best place to stay in Santorini! All tourists travel to this specific part of Oia to see the amazing views that are right on your hotel suite's doorstep. The room is massive and has a pretty decent amount of privacy and an indoor jacuzzi. Excellent and worth the money as every single amenity is a walking distance from the hotel. No need to rent a car, just stay around Oia and enjoy the sun and views!
Everything was perfect during our stay. Our room was great and we’ve seen one of the best sunsets ever by the private pool. The hotel gave us the feeling of being isolated, while being 5 minutes away from Oia’s main street at the same time. Yiannis and Paz are really kind hosts, always suggesting nice places to go and making sure we would have the best time in Santorini. I highly recommend Aplada Suites.
Best staff in Santorini - they make you feel like home, and they are your friends. Location is perfect, very close to Oia center, clean rooms, good facilities. Pool is also clean and there are enough sunbeds for everyone. The hotel’s restaurant serves very good food for dinner. In my opinion this hotel is one of the best ones at a fair price in this location. Definitely when in Oia, we’ll come back here.
There is a lot to like in Elysian Santorini but what really got me really please about is the following:
- The room/swimming pool and view is just amazing!
- The staff was really friendly
- Elysian Santorini will help you with bring the suitcases to and from the hotel. I highly appreciated the effort by the Sir that carry my suitcases (sadly I didn’t get his name to personally thank him here)
Perfect location in Oia with good value of money. We stayed a whole week and we didnt have any single negative memory. The view is breath-taken and all crew is so nice, kind and helpful. The breakfast service was also perfectly prepared on time. We definitely go back to Nostos in Santorini. It was unique and unforgettable experience to stay in traditional cave hotel.
Oia Waves is very near the Santorini beach. The place was perfect; it was big and the facilities were working. Johnny (Johnns), the hotel staff was kind and very helpful. We were amazed how he could carry 3 heavy luggages from our airbnb all the way to the top of Oia. If we were to go back to Santorini, we will get this place again.
Everything was completely perfect - thumbs up - view from the balcony (the sea and the fields of the Santorini island), location (5 - 10 min. to the center of Oia), crystal clear swimming pool with just totaly right temperature, super friendly staff.
I could confidently recommend this hotel, if someone would like to stay in Oia.
Rooms were clean, elegant and came with all the amenities one would need for a break. The location is ideal, all the people were super friendly and I felt safe. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of our friends coming to Santorini for the first time. The breakfast was delicious really good. Strongly recommended!
Beautiful villa, with the best staff right the beginning of Oia! Few of our favorite things: sunset view from our jacuzzi, amazing concierge service, room service with fresh made breakfast, and the best espresso martini in Greece:) We loved our stay and recommend Sole d’oro for your trip to Santorini!
A spectacular location with prime view of the Caldera for this high-end accommodation located in Oia, one of the main attractions of Santorini. A place to enjoy calm and relaxation. All was perfect, from arrival to departure, and we wish to thank Nikos for taking so good care of us !
It's simply wonderful! Very nice hotel, wonderful staff. Breakfast, cleanliness, rooms, pool, everything is great. In less than 10 minutes you can walk to Oia, the heart of Santorini. They took care of everything, it was a perfect stay.
possibly my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in - the location was perfect to walk anywhere and everywhere. very clean and having the driver was a huge plus. would recommend this place to anyone I know visiting Santorini.
Unparalleled view of water and of the cliffside homes and hotels of Santorini. At the same time was very private—I never felt like people were staring at me when I was in the cliffside hot tub.
Amazing staff that helps coordinate travel and activities. Excellent location in Oia within walking distance to the sights. Beautiful view of caldera. Great spot to relax and enjoy Santorini!
