It was a wonderful 6 day stay. We were greeted by Mochi, the owner's mom who had just finished cleaning the house. She was extremely warm, friendly and she made us feel very welcome. We needed a few items for our stay and she lent them to us immediately. The house is wonderful, in a very quiet street where a car passes every 2 hours but only 300 meters from the town center. They could only be heard: cicadas, crickets in the evening and the rooster in the morning. Nothing else. All around a scent of pines and aromatic herbs. The house is large, for 4 people but we were only 2. There is a very comfortable kitchen, a very bright living room where we spent some nice evenings reading, 2 bedrooms and a very comfortable bathroom. The bedroom at the back of the house, which we used, has wonderful views over the countryside and hills behind the house. The highlight is certainly the wonderful terrace, with a beautiful, solid wooden table, huge, solid and comfortable wooden chairs. We had lunch, dinner, breakfast and spent a lot of time outside on the terrace and it was wonderful. It was very hot and, when necessary, we turned on the air conditioning a little, which worked well. For the rest we preferred to hear the sounds of nature, while we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with a beautiful view of the pine forest opposite. The town of Marta is enchanting because it is very small but very lively. The small square with the huge trees also allows you to enjoy a little social life by eating excellent food or using the bar or bakery. Karya is on a hill, you can reach the most beautiful beaches of the island, not crowded at all. Everything more than perfect. È stato un soggiorno di 6 giorni meraviglioso. In the comment posted on Booking.com in 2017, I promised myself that I would return to Merlot Village in "a sunny day" and I managed to keep my promise after 6 years. If you don't know where is the perfect place to spend a dream vacation, I offer you a suggestion: HERE ! Merlot Village means (first of all) Kostas & Spiros, the perfect hosts we found with pleasure, younger and more enthusiastic, professionals in the "art of tourism" as only the Greeks know how to welcome their guests and make them it feels amazing. I recommend (again) the most beautiful beaches of Lefkada: Milos, Porto Katsiki, Egremni and Kathisma, the excursion to the Dimosari Waterfall and the Seven Islands Cruise, an one-day-cruise where you will be able to walk along the shores of the Islands of Ithaca, Kefalonia, Meganisi, Scorpios and swimmers will be delighted by the marine blue to indigo color of the Ionian Sea. And last but not least, I highly recommend Taverna Eleni, located in the picturesque village of Karyá, an excellent restaurant where you can eat traditional Greek food and taste a rosé wine made from grapes grown under the Lefkada Sun.

I had a wonderful stay! The apartment was spacious, spotless, and beautifully modern. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Vanessa, the host, was absolutely perfect, providing excellent hospitality and making our experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!

The sea view from the accommodation is spectacular!

It was a large family room with two rooms and a large balcony. We liked everything. The apartments are located a little further from the beach and the main street, but on a level road. The place is very quiet, it was nice to sleep. The manager was very friendly and helped in everything he could.

Fabulous quiet location right on the beach, great value for money and happy helpful staff. Food was great, a delightful few days.

Niras Hotel is a wonderful place that made our family vacation unforgetable. Everything is “super” clean and if you have a sea view room like us you will be amazed and left without words each morning… The breakfast is great and for sure you find something to eat each day. Do not worry about the parking, we found each day a place to leave the car just across the hotel. We did not miss anything during our staying or encounter any unpleasant situation. The hotel staff is always there to help you with anything if you need something. We recommend Niras Hotel! In addition, Chara and her mother were amazing each day with us. In the end… it is not just about the place, it is about the energy and the vibe that the place gives to you! So, Niras Hotel is not just an accomodation for the vacation, it is an experience with quality people!

Coffee was great Service great and setting lovely Breakfast was basic but ok

The staff was so friendly and familiar, we felt almost at home, as soon as we arrived. The room was nice and tastefully decorated, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was more than reasonable for the price, with fresh fruit and vegetables, which was a plus for us. They even have a corner with beach umbrellas that we could borrow for the duration of our stay. Georgia is an amazing host, approaching everyone in their own language, playing cards with guests, she is precious. We were welcomed with warm smiles anytime we came or went. The hotel's location is perfect, a few steps from all the restaurants, bars, and the beach. Wonderful!
