A wonderfully quiet location but only a 5 minute walk from the village pub. Rose Cottage is a very traditional country accommodation with lovely proprietor and a wonderful full English breakfast. It was perfect for my one night stopover. I was even offered space in the garage to store my motorcycle overnight which was a lovely touch. The cottage sits well off the road and the private parking area is well away from prying eyes, so motorcyclists should be happy there.

The cottage and location are great to see the two local aonbs. The person looking after me was caring and attentive. An issue with the shower was solved quickly. The furniture and beds are comfy. The furnishings are nice. The walled garden is pleasant and is being worked on.

Location and excellent accommodation. We stayed overnight on route to Scotland. Excellent location not far from the motorway. Fairly easy to find. Enclosed garden which was perfect for the doggies. The large village is a 15-25 minute walk on route to the pub there is a premier shop and next door Fish & Chip/Chinese. We carried on and went to the Greyhound pub. Recommend pre booking. Very busy but worth the wait. Steady walk with a couple of little hills on the way back. We did it with two dogs and a pushchair.

The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The individual temperature controlled rooms were a great luxury. The interior design of the upstairs was a pleasure to look at each day. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening with bats flying around and rabbits quietly grazing was wonderfully peaceful, as was the lovely bench by the river. Rhubarb the cat was an added bonus and made us feel very welcome with their companionship.
This property is of a very high standard and we have a wonderful stay.
