Beautiful country estate that's been well maintained and has a rich history. A walk around the grounds is well worth the time and a short trip into town is a must. Lots of history and architecture to take in. Friendly locals. Lovely traditional pubs with open fires and great food.

This place is just beautiful - set in the most gorgeous grounds, decorated and furnished beautifully, a great hot tub and outside space - it was perfect for a get-together with friends. The hosts were available as soon as we had an issue with the lights - got back to me within minutes of texting, and the problem was sorted quickly. Would love to stay here again one day, for longer this time!
Seemed short on staff. Restaurant service was extremely slow. Waited 90 minutes for food. Pool was cold. We were warned that jacuzzi was not functioning heat-wise but the pool was too cold to relax in.
Great location and setting. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Great little town, with everything you could need and wonderful ancient castle ruins. Brilliant location, between the beautiful Wye valley to the East and Brecon Beacons to the West and, although it is a town very much centred in the countryside, it is quickly accessible from motorways. I'll be going back for a longer stay, I hope!

We didn't get too much chance to explore the town but what we saw made us want to return. Very picturesque and we were lucky enough to enjoy good weather. Lots of places to eat and drink and some interesting independent shops to discover.

Usk is a beautiful setting but although an affluent area, there is very little choice with dining out, either as pubs offering meals were closed or the eari g establishments that were open were exceptionally poor. We visited a couple, unfortunately and the food was possibly the worst we had ever experienced. I feel if a good takeaway or restaurant opened in Usk it would make a killing!
Visiting family in Usk - A wonderful fresh granary loaf for our stay. Very comfy bed, nice linen and plenty room. Nice to have a wood burner for cozy nights in and the location was just home from home for me, perfect (though the hubby thought a bit of a bus man's holiday since we have animals at home) Lovely hosts, would definitely return and have shared the details with family. Great access to owner's fields and a little wood for our very welcomed dog.
Close to the M4 and 30 minutes drive from Newport. Lovely setting. Very attractive main hotel building with an inviting courtyard ideal for drinks on a summer evening. Easy parking. Efficient check in. Friendly, helpful staff who were able to accommodate our request for an early breakfast on Sunday. Comfortable bed. TV in the bedroom. Free access to Wi-fi.
Beautifully furnished apartment in the centre of Usk. Some lovely walks along the river and above the castle right from the front door, and perfectly located for all that Monmouthshire and South East Wales/Wye Valley has to offer. Easy parking outside and a big selection of pubs, takeaways and a small supermarket within a couple of minutes walk.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good. It's a very old building and quirky. It's position on the main street meant it was convenient for walking the Usk valley path which is why I chose it. Great for an overnight stop and value for money.
Unfortunately the chef was off sick and so I couldn't benefit from their restaurant which looked amazing. They provided a sort of breakfast in the room which was very thoughtful though. The hotel is overlooks one of the squares in Usk and is very very pretty. Gosh this part of the world is stunning!
Beautiful cottage near Usk village. 15 mins walk (few mins walking on verge) or 5 mins in car.
Property is decorated to a great standard, plenty of space, garden is lovely and enclosed (small dogs may get out through under the gates), lovely welcome pack from owner. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel is out of town but has restaurant and everything you need to be comfortable. We had four rooms for our group. One room had an odder from the bathroom. The rooms were comfortable and had nice view of beautiful gardens and landscape.
Very comfortable room in a rural location under 10 minutes by car from Usk or a 20 minute brisk walk. I recommend the vegan breakfast - the scrambled tofu was delicious! I used the vensue as a base for hiking and biking in the Usk valley.
A lovely hotel/pub with great character located in the Usk town centre. It is an easy walk to the shops, cafes and riverside. The onsite restaurant serves great food, and the breakfast is superb. Nice range of beers too.
For my first time in Wales, The Greyhound presents a lovely country setting that is obviously loved by their owners and staff. The grounds are quintessentially Welsh amidst the rolling countryside.
The hotel has put up amazing Christmas lights in the trees in the grounds, along the boundary wall and round the building giving it a magical appearance. The decorations inside are good too
Nothing I’m sorry to say. Very disappointed. It was a birthday surprise night away for my partner and I felt so embarrassed that I had brought him to such a dirty rundown hotel.
The hotel was in a picturesque location! Whilst the staff were lovely and the food was second to none. The breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and fantastic.
