The exceptional warm welcome by Lorna and Noel made our start to our stay for 3 nights to a great start. Good facilities was provided in the apartment, from toiletries, expresso machine, microwave, oven and kettle. The subtle touches to make the apartment feel homely was touching. The breakfast was very reasonable and there was plenty to eat. The hotel was great and as one would expect for the age of the property. I would recommend staying here when in Braintree.

Great place to stay we had a party in town so it was convenient to stay for us
Room was nice bigger then I thought comfortable bed we had kettle coffee maker with biscuits and breakfast bar
Staff were really friendly and helpful showed us to the room and explained how we have 24 hour access by a side door with key fob
Car park opposite and it cost us 3.90 for 24 hours
We had a drink in the beer garden before we rang a taxi for the party they gave us a list of numbers it was great atmosphere in the pub
It is an old building and lots of stairs to the room something to be aware of if you have walking problems
We would definitely stay here again

There was nothing to like, I wasn't given the password, I arrived and stayed outside for more than half an hour, he asked me for my Edi as soon as I gave him my Ed, he saw that I was Brazilian, he already said that I I couldn't receive men and he didn't even know if I was going to receive people, what was I doing in the city? Met on arrival, plenty of room to park, accommodation is on first floor up a flight of stairs. It was very clean, has an ample living area with TV and sofas, plus a little kitchen. Large bed with separate shower room/wc. Ideal for a quite stay in the countryside, but close enough to Boreham House Venue (15 minutes by taxi) to be perfect location.
TIP1: Ask Noel to arrange your rides/taxis etc. in advance - he has loads of local knowledge.
TIP2: Order Breakfast Basket (£8 per person) and get fresh local eggs, milk and bread, with cereals and enough to make a lovely cooked breakfast. (2 person breakfast is easily enough for 3 people!)
