The Inn was aout 5 minutes to the airport, taking their "secret" and scenic back way. Check-in was a wonderful and personal, as the owner just happened by at the right time. The room was big, with a sitting area, a small table and stools, and a tea area, fully stocked.

Beautiful lodging that is comfortably furnished, and a well stocked kitchen with several drinks and snacks. The location is very convenient to Stansted airport, only about 5 minutes away by car. Our host was friendly and helpful.

I was DISGUSTED to find out that my cousin, who drove 5 hours to drop us off at Takeley, was fined 100 pounds for "So Called Parking" at the hotel. He stayed long enough to stretch his legs and plan his trip back home. He was there a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes. This IS NOT how you treat guests who are dropped off. What was he supposed to do PARK IN THE STREET!!!! I Apart from things not working In our first room and we had to be changed, then we find out about this BS fine. There was no mention of parking fines on booking.com. I would NOT recommend this hotel and its money making scheme to anyone. You would NEVER be treated like this in Australia. We welcome tourists not fine their drivers. Extremely disappointed !!!! When someone goes out of their way to make sure we arrived safely and then are treated like this it makes me sick.

Very reasonable price for overnight stay and car parking.
Very reasonable price for overnight stay and car parking. Excellent location with a bus stop across the road, for the short trip to the airport. Worth noting if you have a late return flight the last bus is 23.15 so be prepared to get a taxi back. Not our first stay so was aware of the Four Ashes pub across the road that served good food. Unfortunatley we didn't realise they close on Sunday evening so need to arrive before 6 pm if you want food in there. Fortunately there was a list to other food options in the room and a short drive away there is a Tesco Express and an Italian takeaway. Caretaker very pleasant and checked out we had everything we needed for our overnight stay.

Avoid if you value your health and safety.
Avoid if you value your health and safety. This property is being mis sold. It doesn't even have fully functioning electric, no fridge, black mould, disgusting shower heads, filthy. Avoid had no electric to charge phone or for medical equipment. Place is a death trap. They have no idea about disability access, you can't even get in the rooms with a wheelchair never mind get into bed or use the shower and toilet

friendly and informative welcome by the landlady; good beds and perfect breakfast; coffee, thea and chocolate facilities in the room. free parking.
a convenient base for us, from which we could visit our son and grandchildren in Little Canfield.
It was full of character, like a cottage. It didn't feel like a hotel. It was a short drive to the airport so much better than staying at one of the big hotels. There was a lovely breakfast all there in the fridge in the room, or outside the room (we stayed in a different room on the way there to on the way back.) There was a key safe so we could get in when we arrived very late after our flight was delayed an hour. Lots of nice things like dressing gowns and towels, soaps, shampoos, tea and coffee etc.
The property is located stone’s throw away from Stansted, location-wise it was a good choice because we had to catch an early morning flight from Stansted. The bus stop was located right next to the property and it took about 10 minutes to get to the airport via bus. Contacting the hotel was also easy via app and they were quick to get back with questions regarding the stay. Good value for money and there plenty of restaurants nearby to order from.
Charming place to stay, and very convenient for an overnight stay after a late flight into Stansted - infinitely nicer than a faceless airport hotel. The host picked me up and dropped me off at the station again the next morning at a time of my choosing - £7 each way - which was brilliant. It could have been a long wait for a taxi! Quiet, comfortable, very clean, and really friendly, obliging hosts.
We chose this Guest House as it was out in the countryside a short taxi journey to the airport with parking available. Julie the landlady and her husband were very welcoming and organised our taxi in advance. Breakfast was good (cold buffet) and the room was comfortable for the night. A really excellent no frills accommodation at a reasonable price. Beats all those faceless airport hotels in my books.
Lovely little place, Michael and Linda were extremely gracious hosts, ready to help with anything and everything. The room itself is comfortable and full of character, and the self-service breakfast was varied and convenient. The option to park there for £7 a night while on holiday makes this a lovely alternative to chain hotels when flying from Stansted. We'll definitely use it again.
I booked a single room and it felt like a prison cell. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was dirty. There were no towels on arrival and I had to ask the man on reception who didn't seem very helpful. The only good thing about the room was that the radiator worked and there was hot water. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel the worst place I have ever stayed.
Very close to Stansted Airport. Great price to be fair. Across the road from the bus stop but buses don't run very well on Sundays so be careful you research that. In fairness we had an early flight and opened the front door, walked to the bus stop in ten seconds, which arrived at 3.43 am exactly. Good stay! Cheap and cheerful but has everything you will need.
The perfect stay before an early trip to the airport. We will always use this annexe over an airport hotel next time we are due to fly. The host is so helpful and accommodating and the little touches were unexpected and very gratefully received!
The worst hotel in the world painted my door while I was out; both sides, then didn't tell me, and there were no signs. I got covered in paint, which the staff thought was hilarious and laughed at me.
Fantastic place.
Not far from the airport but quiet.
Clean, cozy welcoming, spacious.
The host is fantastic.
We will choose it again for a travel from Stansted.
Thank you :)
