The staff were super friendly and accommodating, despite them being short staffed by no fault of their own. The room was clean and tidy with a beautiful view, had everything you need for a couple of nights away. Had a cosy homely feel to it. Me and my partner chose this as we wanted to complete a local waterfall hike (Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall hike I think its called - also highly reccomend!). Although we didn't have time to, there is a local Castle to explore in the village of Chirk (10 min drive away from hotel). Would highly recommend for a couple looking for a quiet relaxing stay. :)

Lovely, very helpful staff, comfortable rooms and delicious food both evening meal and breakfast. Thoughtful little touches like complimentary sherry and shortbread in the room. We saw that there were board games and books to borrow - just wish we had had more time there to enjoy the lovely garden.

Booked and paid in advance and turned up to find out the hotel was full with no room available for us to stay in.
