Lovely little property a lot more spacious than you expect. Clean and everything in there that you need. The little welcome hamper was a lovely touch (bread, milk, eggs, tea and coffee etc). Lovely and peaceful, the two local pubs recommended to us by the hosts were both fantastic with great food. They even offered to pick us up if we couldn’t make it back up the hill after a few drinks!! Ideal location for exploring the Peak District. The farmers cows were beautiful as were the dogs, Highly recommend

We stayed on a Wednesday night due to attending a wedding reception nearby at The Ashes Barns Wedding Venue and were very pleased with the experience.
Our room overlooked the front of the hotel and was spacious enough with good curtains to block out the light. While there was some noise from the car park, the size of the hotel means this is minimal and does not disturb. (There is a car park at the back of the hotel too.) The en-suite was functional if cramped but certainly fine for an overnight stay.
We took dinner in the restaurant (Wednesday is now Curry Club night) and the food was of a very good standard. The Chicken Curry was very well done and the serving of Roast Beef in Yorkshire Pudding was sizeable; all the time the waiting team could not do enough to help. There seemed to be a number of locals in the bar eating and this is always a good sign.
After a comfortable sleep, breakfast (included in out price) was also very good and to be recommended.
Rooms are key operated with a fob to access the hotel after 11pm. By the time we returned from the wedding at about 11:30, the hotel was pretty much closed for the night but there was no issue letting ourselves in and to bed.
Just outside the Peak District National Park, The Three Horseshoes Inn offers stylish rooms and high-quality restaurant dining, as well as access to the spa facilities for a surcharge.

We stayed one night for a wedding close by.
Nice location, warm comfortable and very friendly/ helpful staff.
Every little detail has been thought about with facilities...
Every little detail has been thought about with facilities in the Shepherds hut. Tv, fridge, oven with rings & grill, pull out table, chairs, glasses, crockery, washing up liquid, tea cloth and towels. This is truly a brilliant getaway if you want to wind down and relax. The drive to the location was breathtaking too. You certainly know you’re in the countryside. Thank you

The location is tricky to find.
The location is tricky to find. But we were traveling in the dark. Barbra and Angus soon got us sorted, however. Other than that. It’s a lovely place. With lots of space, and good facilities. A real home from home. We were made to feel very welcome. And enjoyed our stay. We were visiting Alton Towers which took us about 20 mins to get to from here.
The What Three Words for the location are: self.ripen.niece
