Absolutely nothing checked in and 5 minutes later checked out and went and booked somewhere else. The staff didn’t even question why we were not staying wouldn’t even recommend it.

Everything was beautiful! Great communication from Barry, including recommendations for restaurants that we were able to book before our stay.

We arrived on a really hot day and it was lovely to see that they had a beer garden where we were able to have a nice cool drink in the sun. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. We went for a walk before dinner and there was a map with a route for you to follow over open countryside. We ate in the restaurant/ bar. The food was really tasty. Breakfast was good in the morning , we had a cooked breakfast which was large.
Featuring a garden and a bar, Eagle and Child, Ramsbottom is situated in Bury. Free WiFi is available and in-house parking is provided. Guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a flat-screen TV.

Lovely location and hotel. Staff were friendly and good-sized car park at back of hotel. Breakfast was lovely too with a good selection to chose from.
the hotel is dated / tatty and in need of refurbishing
the hotel is dated / tatty and in need of refurbishing
i was in a room where a dog was staying and continuously barking as owners had left it alone
Apparently this is allowed which i think is unacceptable and it ruined my stay

Such a pretty village!
Such a pretty village! Lots of hills, so it's maybe not so great for less mobile people, but I love the many paths and byways, and the fact that you can get right up onto Holcombe Moor in less than an hour from the E.L.R. station.
Lots of great places to eat and drink, and some great independent shops. Nuttall Park offers a beautiful green space with a very pretty riverside path. The steam railway is the icing on the cake.
All this, just a few miles north of Manchester, easily accessible by the X41 bus ☺️

The hotel was appalling , after staying there in the past and no issues, I was shocked to see how bad it was, since it had been taken over by Lavender Hotel. the room I booked was a family room, I thought I had upgraded by booking a bigger room, I was told the room doesn’t get cleaned for 5 days, after 7 and nobody coming in, I asked for it to be cleaned and fresh towels which it eventually was. It was below freezing outside and the radiators in the hallway in our corridor were never on and also in the room, the main area in the room the only thing for heat was a small plug in radiator. The only good thing we’re the staff, who were all very accommodating and tried very hard, knowing that we were staying for two weeks, they tried very hard to accommodate us. However, when I initially told them the heating wasn’t working, you could see by there faces that they knew. However, they said they would report it to maintenance. Even the hot water tap was broken and the hot water just trickled out in the sink, The shower and the staff were the only good things this staff had.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The dining room was large and seemed a bit soulless, although we ate late and were the only ones there.
Room spacious and well-equipped. Overall, a very relaxing stay.

The apartment was really refreshing to see, the room we had was a dark moody colour theme which is different to the apartments we usually go to. The bed was so comfortable and hydrotherapy session was what really bagged the deal for me. The fact that it’s included in the price is amazing. It’s also by a farm by not worries it doesn’t smell or anything in fact it was really peaceful. It was away from all the hustle and bustle of a town. We had an issue that needed sorting and the owner was very helpful and understanding. Rochdale is just a 15 minute drive from the place so great for if u want to grab a bite. One thing I noticed was that outside you would have service but once we went into our room we had no service but we did have really good WiFi, but I honestly think that it’s a great thing if you’re going as couple, that way you actually get to spend time with each other without being bothered by phone calls. Will definitely be back here again next year.
EVERYTHING! It was stunning. They say the love is in the details and this property was Exhibit A. The owner lives on property and went above and beyond to make us so comfortable. Plus, our beloved dog passed away last year and Barry had two of the most darling puppies you’ve ever seen. They did our hearts good. Amy manages the spa and treatment rooms and was precious. And Chantelle {I so hope I spelled that right} had our room looking like something out of a magazine when we arrived. You will LOVE every minute of your stay here.
Friendly staff, easy check-in, clean & comfortable room, clean & functional ensuite.
I really appreciated the radiator in my room, as I got drenched by rain before I arrived!
Good breakfast, lots of choice. I didn't use the restaurant, but the menu is good (and it smelled delicious!)
The grounds are idyllic... it's a lovely setting.
I stayed here last year, as well, and will definitely come back. Also, the pool is lovely ☺️
I stayed one night in a single room, which had an en-suite. Bath and shower. Actual full-sized bath towel (which is unusual!) Very clean, comfortable bed, kettle for drinks, etc. I didn't eat at the hotel, but I did use the pool (twice!), and the jacuzzi. You can borrow a towel (and they are actually big enough!)
Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel grounds beautifully kept, and I will definitely return.
The apartment had everything we needed, and was finished to an incredibly high standard. Lovely views of the surrounding area, and easily accessed despite the rural location. Exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. A much welcome addition to the Ramsbottom area where local luxury hotels are hard to find.
Value for money was great would deff return based on that as we noted the offers available so have already discussed returning
Location was good, very central to ramsbottom although I’ve lived near there all my life and had no clue it existed!
Staff were really friendly
The hotel and the room are a throwback to the 1980's. Decor is grubby and dated.
Two night stay, both nights I was awoken by noisey slaming doors, rowdy guests,, shouting at each other and knocking on doors. Would not go back, stay well clear, very poor value.
Nice apartment right next to the centre of Ramsbottom, just a stone's throw from a great selection of restaurants and takeaways. Tesco and Morrisons just a couple of minutes walk away. Free parking available either right outside the apartment or very close by.
We liked the fact that the accommodation ticked all of the boxes and our host responded positively to all of our needs. A good out of town location but close enough to Ramsbottom for all facilities that anyone would require.
The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn't use any of the hotels facilities on this occasion. The location was perfect as we were attending a friends party nearby.
