Lovely place. We stayed in room 4, and we loved the decor. It was very clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We both had fantastic night's sleep. There is a bar/restaurant below the rooms but separate to bohotel. We selected the breakfast included option when booking, so ate there both mornings. So glad we did as it was delicious, and the service was very friendly and professional. Easy walking distance into Macclesfield. We ate at the Picturedrome for lunch which is only a few doors down from the hotel. We also enjoyed a stroll to Treacle market on Sunday morning. I would stay here again. Definitely recommended.
Set just 10 km from Capesthorne Hall, The Legh Arms Prestbury provides accommodation in Macclesfield with access to a garden, a bar, as well as luggage storage space.

Rainow is a beautiful but very small little village with great local walks and beautiful surroundings but limited facilities. When we arrived we were initially led down a closed road by Google Maps and had to work out an alternative way in as there is limited access. Once there we were able to park on the road.
There are lots of amazing walks around this area and we used an app to find a 3 hour walk down to a local historic chapel and back. Locally there is a pub called the Robin Hood Inn which is really your only option for going out for food and drink without going further afield. The people there were lovely.
Overall I would recommend staying in Rainow for a weekend trip to enjoy the walking and sights but I wouldn't personally stay for a long trip.

It was a friendly inn with activities some nights. Pub quiz and karaoke. It was a bit hard to find when driving and it was a quiet little village so no amenities within walking distance but nice walks into the countryside
