The location in the forest is beautiful. Peaslake is one of my favourite villages. The exterior of the hotel is first class. The room was comfortable and staff were very friendly. Good beer selection at the bar, tho I believe the bar/restaurant is a depart business to the hotel. Full English breakfast was substantial in the morning.
A stunning, 4 Star hotel 'close to the heart of Guildford' offering guests and patrons touches of genuine luxury, with an independent style and an absolute commitment to first class service.

We didnt like:
Room was dark.... main light needs a brighter bulb! Had to keep side lights on in day. Nowhere to put things you bring. WiFi was none existent in our room. Wardrobe was a clothes rail. Had to use our suitcases to store everything. No hot water. No shelf in bathroom for toothbrush toothpaste etc. Central heating was only on one night. Extractor fan in bathroom not working.
The White Horse is a beautiful Grade II-listed pub in the heart of Dorking with atmospheric dining areas, serving an award-winning fresh and seasonal menu, and a cosy oak beamed bar with fireplace.
Set in 26 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland, Barnett Hill features an oak-panelled dining room, free parking, and luxury toiletries, just 5 minutes from Guildford.
Set in 9 acres of parkland, the hotel is well placed for Guildford, Woking and the M25. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel, and free parking on site.

Wonderful village, deep in the Surrey countryside, popular with mountain bikers, walkers and ordinary people like me! Surrounded by the Surrey Hills, there are some terrific walks and the climb to the top of Pitch Hill is well worth it. There’s a great little shop, but most important of all, a stupendous pub, the Hurtmore Inn, whose restaurant has the biggest plates of food I have ever seen, and whose waiters (Italian) are totally adorable. The Hurtmore Hotel is just behind the pub and is also excellent.
Relaxing atmosphere in the bar area , decent local real ales and background music and an excellent log burner.
The food was excellent as was the breakfast on offer to guests.
Dogs are made very welcome and allowed in the breakfast room.
Our room was spacious and clean , comfy bed with quality bedding and towels.
Great walking and cycling area and we were told you're free to roam because it's a private estate but cannot vouch for that to be factual .
If you're after a getaway break this hotel is perfect.
Quiet location, lovely pub/hotel with character, buzzing with ramblers and locals. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated and spotless, as was the bathroom which also had a powerful shower. TV reception and WiFi was good even though we were at the top of the building. Parking was no problem in a secure car park. The booking in process quick and painless with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast on Saturday from 8am and was very good with plenty of choice. Altogether a perfect restful stay.
The Hurtwood Hotel is really a comfortable B&B attached, although run separately, to a busy & popular country Inn. Our breakfasts were nicely cooked and generous and suppers taken in the Inn were attractively presented and tasty 'pub grub'.
Fresh milk was always available in a visitors fridge. The garden was secluded, shady and peaceful to the rear of the property which proved a restful sanctuary after a busy day.
Bed was huge, and extremely comfortable.
Bathroom was very good. Shower worked fine, easy to work, good pressure. The bathroom was larger than some entire hotel rooms I've stayed in.
Breakfast was excellent, but beware of the large portion sizes.
Very quiet for being in the middle of Surrey, and attached to a good pub.
Plenty of chair/surface space for bike gear.
This is an amazing hotel in a unique and wonderful English village setting, the approach through what we assumed is ancient woodland is stunning and lovely if a little tight in places. Staff and facilities including parking was excellent. Loved it. Food in the evening comes from a co-located business (the Inn) and is also fabulous. Great bar and atmosphere too
Comfortable modern clean, lovely to have iron and ironing board - needs adding to the spec. A toaster would have been a bonus. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Food good and Peaslake itself such a delightful place, it really ticked the box for us as we were attending a wedding a few miles away.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful, they do their utmost to meet special requests. The location is rural, the hotel is cosy and the room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home.
Beautiful location. Hotel rooms are immaculate with lovely beds and bedding. Shower powerful. Tea and coffee facilities lovely. Can't fault the place. Good excellent in pub!
