Interesting place, will go back.
Interesting place, will go back. Got to swim in the Thames, see the churches, go to Whitchurch, walk along the Thames. Visit Goring. It's a fantastic place for a couple of nights. There is a canoe club and also it's a good place to cycle in.LizUnited Kingdom - 6.0Scored 6.0

Pangbourne is surrounded by loverly woods and the River Thames runs close by. The traffic during the day is very heavy and makes walking around the town unpleasant. Oddly there are no pubs on the river. There are som nice walks by the river.MarkStanton1 - 4.0Scored 4.0

Pangbourne’s become seedy looking, with very few real shops left. All the pubs were either closed to non residents, or closed around 9.00 pm ish; all, except The Swan, we’re closed all Sunday evening! The high street is very noisy and stinks of fumes.

It’s only small village which is gorgeous and full of character. There’s only a few places to book to stay overnight. The George was dirty and badly needs some tlc! The hotel is a two minute walk to the station and a 4 minute train ride The staff were great, very accommodating as we had a small dog. The room backed onto the garden which was useful when you have a dog. We asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet.
