katolondonhaus 3rd stay , this time 17-19 May 2024 2 nights , Room 5
My third stay at Katolondonhaus. Once with family , last two times I stayed, alone in room 5.
The room has a large double bed with very soft but firm pillows , a firm -medium mattress and a really nice duvet , that to me was the same you as you get in a premier inn...all very cosy.
The ensuite although small, is very well appointed with a super fast hot shower , that really does a great job envigourating you for the day with a modern small sink , glass shelf and bathroom mirror , all tastefully decorated with a contemporary grey tile pattern.
There's is a desk to work from next to a mini fridge , on top of which are the complementary water, tea and coffee facilities.
The TV, I think 32 inch ( flatscreen Samsung) is mounted on the wall which set a above a fixed hairdryer.
Heating wise there is a large radiator, I didn't use this time , as the double glazed windows , with modern slats was easy to open for fresh air.
WiFi is excellent, you can easily play call of duty mobile or watch your favourite film on your laptop.
All in all tastefully decorated, kept very clean and I would recommend. You will not be disappointed.
In addition there is a large kitchen area, should you require any additional items which is next to a dinning table leading on to the well manicured garden.
The property itself is set in a quiet residential area of Morden with parking on or just off the property on the main road. It feels very safe with an electronic combination lock to the main front door.
Matsuo is extremely welcoming and thoughtful of his guests and will leave you to get on with things. If you need anything else just ask or leave a note!
I will be staying again and katolondonhaus is now my "go to" accommodation when I visit London from Suffolk.

The flat is very clean, cozy and spacious. it's also good linked with the public transportation: there's an overground stop five minutes far on foot and a bus stop in the nearby. the northern line underground stop (Colliers wood) is twenty minutes on foot, still it's not so far. the neighborhood is very quiet and clean. I've been in London three times, this is the best solution I found so far.

Everything was clean and tidy. Check in was quick and easy, access was simple and secure. I felt safe and actually preferred the keyed locks on the doors

Easy to find, friendly and helpful staff. Beds clean and made up.
Lovely couple who runs this b&b. The house is well maintained in a quiet residential area. We were here for Wimbledon and it's convenient to get to with taxis, uber or 7 minute walk to the tram. Breakfasts are only till 9:30 on weekends so not suitable for late nights. The bed was comfortable although small but the bathroom is very small (1mx2m!).
The entire house is spotless, nicely furnished and bright. My hosts were exceptionally friendly and very pleasant. The continental style breakfast was perfectly adequate, fresh and delicious - just don't expect a vast choice that you might get in a large hotel. The room was well-furnished and the bed was comfortable and very clean. Also provided were two small armchairs, a coffee table, kettle, tea, coffee, milk etc. and a fridge. Of course, there was also clothes storage and a TV.
there is no proper rood. it’s a store room size 2mx 2.5m.
I can send you room pictures if you want.
host didn’t open door until 12am.
no bed in the room. no cattle. dirty room.
host was given my room to his friend. he told me if you need refund contact to booking.com office.
he also told me. this is not holiday inn hotel.
so I requested to you kindly refund my money back. otherwise I will contact legal forums against this attitude.

A very good quality facility in an excellent area for anybody wanting to explore South West .London. Morden Station for the Undreground and Mitcham for the tram are within walking distance or a short bus ride.
The room was very clean well kept with a very comfortable bed. We would certainly stay there again if in the area in the future
Beautifully clean and well presented little hotel. Run by a Japanese couple named Kato. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Continental breakfast includes a good choice and the very helpful and friendly Mr and Mrs Kato were on hand to assist.
This hotel is definitely good value for money and I will stay there again.
was really clean and comfortable.
all of staff were so friendly and polite.
for 3 people there were 3 beds not just sofa bed which is really uncomfortable.
there was restaurant under rooms , food was really good and price wasn’t expensive.
I definitely recommend this hotel.
i enjoyed my stay at Katohotelhaus was a very small out the way place but that was part of the appeal, i like little places outside the city center and the room was great. I did like the bed it was comfoy and spacy, the shower and toilet room were a bit small but i manged.
The hotel is very comfortable and nice. The owners are always attentive to your needs and the breakfast was marvelous! It is far away from the center of London, however, it is 10/15 minutes from the tube. It is perfect for couple and families that wants some peace.
The staffs were very nice and polite. The room was spacious with the facilities we needed. It was clean and tidy. The hotel location was convenience to various public transportations like bus and tram. Car park space is sufficient.
Nothing at all basically. It was a shock. It is so very overpriced. It is a hostel, not a hotel or even a guest house. One of the worst places I ever stayed in.
