The views out every window and even the sky/roof lights were amazing! We loved everything about the cabin, the location, the kitchen, bathroom, deck, and the hosts!

Minehead is a very traditional sort of seaside resort, which is perfect if that's what you are looking for. Based mostly around the huge Butlins site and the West Somerset Railway, there's not a great deal else to do, though the surrounding countryside is pretty special. Facilities in town are what you'd expect - some takeaways, simple restaurants, touristy type shops, etc, but it's not somewhere for hard-core shoppers.

We loved the laid back atmosphere.
We loved the laid back atmosphere. The high street was busy with a diverse variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. The Victorian town is beautiful. Lots of lovely architecture, walks and a beautiful park. Also a nice beach which was a bonus. We would recommend you investigate all the little side streets for hidden gems. Also very dog friendly.

Minehead is a good beach resort and a central starting point for exploring Somerset and particularly Exmoor as a path starts a short walk from the Hotel.
The West Somerset steam railway is the longest standard gauge heritage line at 21 miles taking a full hour each way through pretty well kept stations and is only a short walk along the front the hotel.

Minehead is a thriving seaside town with many individual and chain shops, eateries, coffee bars, a park and places of worship and of course the beach! It is an easy town to walk around, especially if you have a walking problem. The traffic during our stay was light fr the time of year and parking in the town was easy. It is also a very friendly place to visit.

We liked the older part of the town towards the harbour and being there out of peak season it was quiet, during the peak summer months clearly would be busier and nosier. The town is easy to get around and has plenty of parking, the old railway centre is also very good and worth a visit. We used one of the fish and chip shops in Bampton Street which was excellent and had a meal in the Hairy Dog which was good pub food. Minehead is also a good place as a base for visiting other parts of the Somerset coast and close the Exmoor. Dunster Castle is also nearby and well worth a visit.
Great old Building right in the centre of town. most of the Wetherspoons expectations were met - fast efficient food service of decent quality at a reasonable price, great choice of Real Ales and other beverages and character.
Unfortunately, the room was sub-standard :- Dark with tiny window looking out onto masses of unattractive yards; Dowdy furnishings and not particularly clean. Have stayed in far more pleasant hotels for much cheaper prices. Wetherspoons has a reputation for value, unfortunately this did not meet those expectations!
Everything about Steps Farmhouse was perfect. The hosts were extremely welcoming, fun to be with and helpful. The range and quality of the breakfast food were truly exceptional, and the facilities such as the breakfast room, bedroom, garden and garden bar with help-yourself drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were delightful. The location was perfect for the Somerset coast, Dunster, Exmoor, Porlock, etc.
Such a beautiful clean, quiet and well presented hotel. Came here with my husband and dog for a short break. Beautiful room with period furniture, windows and curtains and huge modern bathroom. Perfect for a relaxing break a short mile walk along tree lined roads with old traditional houses and gardens to Minehead centre. Could not recommend this hotel and the welcoming staff more.
We stayed here a week ago and it was great for a short break in Minehead. The hotel is right on the sea front and our room had a brilliant view of this. With each room, you get a complimentary breakfast; we both had the full English and it was great!
The room is basic but functional and comes with amenities like a hairdryer and towels.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The staff made the stay for us, they were so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing stay with our new puppy, she was fussed so much and made welcome. The food was good and room was a lovely size, clean and tidy. The hotel for us was ideally situated just far enough away from the seafront.
A cosy inn away from the bustle of the main town of Minehead this hotel is highly recommended. The welcome was warm and, throughout our stay, the staff were always keen to ensure we were well looked after. Breakfast was very good. A great range of cask beers and good, honest pub food in the bar.
The hotel is lovely and very well maintained. The room was a good size and had a terrific view along the shoreline, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. All staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. Ease of access to the beach and town center was great.
A good sized property, with well proportioned rooms. Reall nicely maintained and clean. Well-equipped kitchen and nicely set out bedrooms. Great ot have a good sized dining table, as well as a separate comfy living room. Nicely convenient location for the centre of town and the beach.
Breakfast was amazing - delicious food, with a large number of choices where you can pick exactly what "Full English" means for you. Lovely dining room, and an amazing location opposite Blenheim Gardens. Walkable to many restaurants, pubs and the seafront.
A well run hotel and pub.
Within walking distance of Exmoor tops and Dunkery Beacon.
Staff friendly and food excellent.
Covid measures excellent
Nice to know you can have a good evening meal rather than be looking around or going into Minehead
Very well located at the far end of Minehead, ideally placed for starting the SW Coast Path. Quite decent pub, good beer and very substantial breakfast. Easy to park outside and/or nearby when out of season.
Booked the room aty a drop of a hat, needed somewhere central in Minehead. The staff are all efficient and friendly. The hotel has a spacious bar with a lot of drinks choices and a good menu.
