This is a fantastic place to stay. The family that run the hotel were so warm and welcoming. The food was great and they absolutely went out of their way to make our stay extra special. Highly recommend. The location is also beautiful. A gorgeous lake with lots of wildlife. My kids loved trying to spot all the wild rabbits. We will definitely stay again.

The area was good and in a nice setting
The bathroom was quite modern, and warm, but was very small. The towel rail was boiling hot, so if you touched it to get in and out of the shower in the bath, it burnt your hand. A health and safety hazard

Martock is a quiant town with not a lot going on, in fact the White Hart is probably the most lively place there but it is lovely if you want a quiet getaway. It is also about 3 miles away from the golf club and the Deveonshire Arms which, for me, was where a wedding was being held. This made the White Hart perfect for my trip.
We had a meal in the White Hart which was lovely and the rest of the food we ate was at the Devonshire Arms and the golf club, I would reccomend Martock to anyone

Hosts were very welcoming and helpful
Food great and room very comfortable
The village of Martock was picturesque, locals friendly, church amazing, and we were the only tourists around enjoying a non tourist village
We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. There was a good selection on the menu and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal as well as our full english breakfast!
Two days after departing, realised a jacket had been left at hotel. This was kindly returned to us which was very much appreciated which further highlights our satisfaction with The Hollies.
The staff is brilliant and absolutely professional. Our room was nice and welcoming. We had our dog with us and she was welcome - noting that not many places in Somerset and North Devon are dog-friendly.
We also had dinner at the White Hart Hotel and it was amazing: fresh ingredients, impeccable presentation.
A lovely hotel , beautifully and tastefully renovated inside , creating a very warm and comfortable restaurant and bar , my room was very nice , good size and nice views , bed comfortable , this is a perfect location if golfing at Onneley Golf Club
Unbelievable value for money, I will be back here whenever I stay in Somerset. Everything taken care of that you might need, plenty you wouldn't even find in £200+ hotel rooms. On my low budget I felt spoiled and looked after. Can't wait to return.
Cottage was very clean and modern, the hotel itself was very clean and the breakfast was great, good selection of fruit with cooked breakfasts available, the mini fridge was well stocked, would definitely stay again.
Such a warm welcome each time you visit this charming hotel. Family owned and the team here are so friendly and very efficient.
Great location for exploring the area too.
Good choice for breakfast and cooked meals were always piping hot. The staff are excellent.
Hotel initially chosen for its close proximity to my sister who lives nearby.
The hotel and restaurant are run by a friendly couple, creating a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The food was great, the room was clean and comfortable.
we decided to book a cottage this time after staying at the hotel many times upon arrival we were upgraded to a 4 bed cottage which was a lovely surprise
