Really friendly helpful people. Very easy city to navigate. Highly recommend participating in a walking tour (around the walled area) of the city. Takes about an hour, but is really helpful (historically).

We went on a guided tour of city and it was really worthwhile and enlightening and gave us a feel of what the city has been through. Our accommodation was within walking distance a brilliant location . Exchange rate made things expensive. Definitely worth a visit and we will certainly return, easy to drive around.

We booked and paid for the hot tub and didn’t even use it as as soon as we checked in we leave and tried to find a better hotel
I also asked for champagne and sweets on arrival as you are not aloud to bring your own drink and we didn’t revive any thing

Went mid-week over Valentines for 2 nights.
Went mid-week over Valentines for 2 nights. The towpath walk from the hotel (Waterfoot Hotel) to the Peace Bridge and town at around 45 mins was lovely (it was a dry morning) as was the bridge itself.
Loved Sandino's quirky cuban themed bar and also the Taphouse bar near the Guildhall (Music/Singer in the Taphouse from 9pm was great on a Thursday night).
Sooty Olive restaurant (Waterside) then Silver Street bar/restaurant (main town) are both good food places to have dinner & drinks - Silver Street being more economical. City Walls a great experience also.

It is an interesting town between the walls. You must walk the walls, much info is to be found about Derry here.
The Guildhall has exquisite Stained glass windows and an enormous organ. Quite amazing really.
Londonderry/Derry's history is confronting and not so long ago there was much strife here and it is still in evidence.
Generally the food is excellent, loved it.

I would normally stay in hotels as I don't really like B&B 's because you are in people's houses & are worried about making noise etc, but with this Garden Room you are out on your own not having to bother anyone. My daughter & I had a great stay , location good not too far from city centre, taxi only £4, which we only used at night to go into centre fof a drink.
Had an excellent meal @ Fitzroys Restaurant, would definitely recommend.., although book in advance before you go.
I loved the entire concept. From the beautifully restored building to the detailed interior design which was spot on. The rooms named after famous Irish poets was an especially quaint and informative touch. The lovely opulent wallpaper and velvet swag curtains and antique furnishings just took me back in time but with luxury. John and his team (Colin and the room cleaning woman) very so friendly and warm I will surely return and recommend this hotel without reserve.
Location is perfect everything to see and do is on your door step. Derry is seeped in history and there’s so much to do in the city centre. The hotel was really nice and the food was lovely. Our room was cleaned and beds made everyday. Staff were lovely although you could see that there was a lot of new staff who were clearly finding there feet and some times we waited ages for a drink
The Inn was well situated for us as we spent the day sightseeing in Derry and it was on the east side of Derry with plenty of free parking. We were heading east to County Antrim the next day. It's an older hotel, but the room was comfortable and clean, and had all we needed. It was a good value. While breakfast wasn't as good as others we had on our trip, it was more than adequate.
Fabulous location! Car parking available, fantastic, friendly knowledgeable staff who were able to advise on places to eat etc. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with excellent measures in place for the current covid situation. Little things mean a lot at present, the Maldron does it all with style, and confidence. Our goto for a Londonderry break.
The woman working the front desk was WONDERFUL - kind, knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and good sense of humor. Made us feel sincerely welcome and gave wonderful tips for our visit to Northern Ireland. A true gem! The other staff we encountered was also very friendly. The hotel was clean and conveniently located.
This was a great place to stay, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Location is perfect, there's no parking in the hotel but you use the shopping centre for £10 a day. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. A bit noisy at night but its in the city centre. Right beside the walls and shopping.
Well located and a pleasant walk into the town centre along the River. Extremely comfortable bed and superb pillows. The room was large and bathroom had a separate shower to the bath. Hotel staff in each area of the hotel were friendly, helpful and respectful. This all made for a very pleasant stay.
A warm greeting is the first of many personal touches Eilish does to make you feel at home at Redgate House! Tea on arrival and great conversation to discuss points of interest in the city, a great places to eat! Your home away from home when visiting the beautiful city of Londonderry!
The warm welcome when we arrived and we were still in time to have late lunch, ordered turkey and ham which we enjoyed and would highly recommend! The staff were all very nice from reception to restaurant and house keeping, we both enjoyed our stay at the Waterfoot Hotel!
Location is very central and easily walkable to centre (<5 mins). Parking was free and available but might not always be as carpark is small. We did not have breakfast in the hotel even though it as included and there are plenty of nice places to eat neraby.
clean, spacious, 5minfrom city centre, friendly and contactable owner.cooking and bathroom facilities were fine, plenty of room on 3 floors
recommended for families who dont need a hotel
Beautiful home overlooking Londonderry. Host was incredibly nice and accommodating. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at-home. Loved her homemade bread at breakfast.
New hotel situated looking out for Peace Bridge. Lots of history around the hotel. Walking distance from city centre/shops. Made use of the Spa by getting a Back Massage & Facial.
