The staff make or break a hotel in my opinion and most of the staff are very pleasant and friendly, excellent members of staff that I found was George who is very professional and is customer focused and also Paula from reception who always makes me feel a valued customer.

The room was perfect. More amenities than we expected. Layout was perfect for a family. Kids had their own bedroom, parents closer to the locked door.
Pub downstairs was lovely, we had a quick drink before bed. Great train connections to London. Short drive to HP studios. The lady serving breakfast was really helpful with local knowledge and suggestions of where to take children in London.
We've booked again for next year.

The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar area was great but small and crowded (we picked a busy time) The big disappointment was the food - Sunday evening meal was bad, very dried out mash, rock hard roast potatoes and a completely inedible Yorkshire pudding (obviously the last meal of the Sunday lunches). Nothing to like. Toilets dirty, room not that clean, food menu for evening meal poor and we were very ill after eating it. Charged £26.50 for breakfast when only had toast due to being ill all night. Really disappointing, we had a room with a view over a scrap area, that was messy as well as being ugly. The food was awful for dinner, the bar staff were sad, we weren't notified about the pool being closed.

Lovely place. Having read some of the reviews l was concerned about the hotel as taking Grandson for his birthday to Harry Potter World, but the hotel was great. There was a lovely pub just down the road where we went for meal.AAnonymous

I would like to say a big thank you to the two girls who cleaned our room, the lady who served the breakfast, the manageress, and all the bar and waiting staff. They all made us very welcome. The two Brewers have a excellent team working there. We would definitely stay again.

Shower was a bit of a struggle , but all in all for the price and location it was fantastic. Wish we'd had breakfast option , not available weekdays. However having a bar was great for the evening!!
