Beautiful property and grounds near the river and close to Dryburgh Abbey. We had a spacious, luxurious room with a sitting area with a view of the river. The bathroom has a long bathtub. The hotel has a bar and restaurant with outdoor sitting options.

We ate at The Cobbles and also The Cross Keys. We had a takeaway from the Chinese in Kelso. All Good and enjoyable.
Kelso is compact and all on the flat. We used it as a base to visit other places in the Borders.

The history is all within walking distance. it has enough going on but like all towns since COVID, there are hopes closed that may never open again. the bus is regular so you can relax and watch the very beautiful scenery while having visits to other towns.

It was a very nice apartment on two floors. Steep stairs up to both floors but apart from that very nice indeed and would highly recommend. We were visiting my sister who lives up the street from the Bakehouse so the recommendations below are not applicable as it was Christmas and all was closed.

A lovely little area with some amenities round about.
A lovely little area with some amenities round about. From our hotel in Roxburgh it took 5 minutes in a taxi to the town square. The town itself has everything you need Greg’s, chemist, co-op, coffee shops, antique stores, few pubs. So you can definitely spend a few hours toddling about.
There is also a castle about another 2/3 minutes drive by. But do check the website for seasonal opening times.
For great wholesome food I’d definitely recommended cobbles inn. You’ll probably have to book a table so be prepared, it’s a busy little place.

Floors castle is a must see, not many shops open on Sunday Monday
Ate at The Contened Vine which we had to book on a Monday night at 6pm would definitely recommend eating there
Not many more pubs or restaurants to choose from in Kelso
Room was nice, if a bit small (but it was an attic room!) - lovely view out to the river Tweed. Bathroom decent, nice towels. We ate there once - in the bar - the food was very good indeed. Staff very friendly, helpful and dog-friendly. Lovely garden overlooking the river Tweed, and hotel convenient for Kelso village centre and the Borders generally. Plenty of parking, even though the hotel was full. Peaceful.
Graham was a very welcoming, friendly and attentive host. Bellevue Guest House is conveniently situated just a short stroll away from Kelso town centre. There is private parking behind the house. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was outstanding, using local produce, and by far the best I've ever had. We can't wait to go back again.
We enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent & bar staff friendly & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & the lady serving breakfast both mornings was exceptionally friendly & efficient. Kelso is a lovely town & we would thoroughly recommend going to Floors Castle which is a short walk from the Hotel. Parking is available free on a car park 2 minutes walk from Hotel.
Everything - it was fab! A relaxing weekend in a quiet and private bothy within a working farm. A real home from home located in the countryside but 5 mins drive to Kelso town. Ideal as a base for touring the borders or just walking, reading, eating and relaxing in the hot tub whatever the weather.
The hotel was lovely on the main square and the room was very clean and comfortable.
The staff were all really helpful and the breakfast exceptional. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner of fish and chips in the restaurant and there was really nothing we could fault.
The location can't be beat, and the apartment is more spacious than I had pictured. My 9-year old and I stayed and found the apartment to be perfectly equipped with an oven, toaster, stove/hob, washer, fridge, and freezer. The hosts were fantastic and responsive.
Everything you’d need and in the perfect location for touring the area. Hosts were lovely and the cooked breakfast was perfect! Off road parking available at the property and very short walk into Kelso market square, with plenty of places to shop, eat & drink.
This was our second visit to Castle Nook, and once again we could find no fault with the property. It is handy for the centre of Kelso, there is parking close by, the property was clean and well looked after.
Great size and location. Really useful kitchen area that was well stocked with good appliances.
Bed linen and towels clean and comfy.
Great communication from the owner too 😊
The hotel was very nice and its staff were very welcoming. It had a excellent balance of the traditional country manor hotel with modern twist of both design and technology.
If you are traveling to Kelso or surrounding area's this is the Hotel for you exceptional staff and dining experience as well as great rooms and fantastic value
Amazing hotel, food and staff, made us feel very welcome. This hotel claims to be "dog friendly" but it is so much more and the dog was treated as a guest too.
The property is in a lovely location right in the centre of kelso, beautiful area and from the outside the hotel looks lovely. Staff were very friendly also.
