Me and my friend travelled for a weekend away. We went to the room where dogs are allowed and one of us at a time went down to get food from the main eating area. There was barely any food out - the bread baskets were empty, there were no drinking glasses and only very small plates/bowls for fruit. A staff member then snapped at my friend saying we had to let someone know we were here so they could come up and order from us. Eventually someone did come but we waited 50 minutes before we got our breakfast. By the time we finished eating it was 1040 and we had 20 minutes before we had to checkout.

Requested room with walk in shower and given room with wet room, fantastic! Solved my mobility problems.
The room itself was a bit on the small side anyone in a wheelchair might have been short of space.
Dinner was excellent, I would recommend the steak pie any day. Buffet breakfast was great with plenty of haggis!
Staff pleasant and helpful. Everything seemed clean and fresh.

The history is all within walking distance. it has enough going on but like all towns since COVID, there are hopes closed that may never open again. the bus is regular so you can relax and watch the very beautiful scenery while having visits to other towns.

It was a very nice apartment on two floors. Steep stairs up to both floors but apart from that very nice indeed and would highly recommend. We were visiting my sister who lives up the street from the Bakehouse so the recommendations below are not applicable as it was Christmas and all was closed.

A lovely little area with some amenities round about.
A lovely little area with some amenities round about. From our hotel in Roxburgh it took 5 minutes in a taxi to the town square. The town itself has everything you need Greg’s, chemist, co-op, coffee shops, antique stores, few pubs. So you can definitely spend a few hours toddling about.
There is also a castle about another 2/3 minutes drive by. But do check the website for seasonal opening times.
For great wholesome food I’d definitely recommended cobbles inn. You’ll probably have to book a table so be prepared, it’s a busy little place.

Floors castle is a must see, not many shops open on Sunday Monday
Ate at The Contened Vine which we had to book on a Monday night at 6pm would definitely recommend eating there
Not many more pubs or restaurants to choose from in Kelso
Everything about the hotel is excellent.. I cannot fault it in any way.. Breakfast to die for (black pudding and poached eggs extra special mention) the location is spot on for everything.. The room was nice n warm and quiet.. All staff were enthusiastic and nothing was too much trouble (even at 9am on a Monday ) honestly this is best wee hotel we stayed in for our racing wknds away and we have stayed in over a dozen on last 3yrs
The bedroom was extremely comprehensively equipped (bottles of water, tea & coffee, hairdryer, tissues, fan). Great views over town centre & Kelso from this attic room 5. Close to restaurants, cafes, shops. Easy walk to Riverside Walk & ruined Abbey. Kelso is a beautiful town and the hotel is very well located at the centre of it.
Very friendly staff.
Great free car parking opposite hotel - see photo.
The staff were great. Dinner was perfect as was breakfast. The room was ideal and the shower was as perfect as any shower I have ever had. The location in Kelso was central and we took the opportunity to walk around the town and experience the Saturday market before we left.
The decor and condition of the hotel inside and out was exceptional.
It was absolutely a marvalice weekend at union Street suites we stepped out the door to all the amenities pubs restaurants shops and the main thing we were there for kelso races 10 minutes from the door. The apartment was immaculate definitely be back without a doubt.
The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming and helpful. The location of the property is in a quiet residential area just outside the town centre, walkable in 10 minutes. The recreation room is excellent with plenty of entertainment and a fully kitted out kitchen.
Breakfast was probably one of the best we have had when staying away in hotel s.what made it so good is the staff are excellent, the food is perfect and if you are a good eater like myself you help yourself to toast, ham, salmon, elected so you are set for the day.
Everything you’d need and in the perfect location for touring the area. Hosts were lovely and the cooked breakfast was perfect! Off road parking available at the property and very short walk into Kelso market square, with plenty of places to shop, eat & drink.
The cottage was cosy and everything I could want for a solo stay with work. The bathroom is fabulous, the cottage roasting and the bed very very comfortable. Close enough for travelling each day to Kelso for work.
Lovely welcome at reception. Our room was so comfortable with stunning view of the river. We took a dinner B&B package. Dinner was excellent as was the service. Perfectly located hotel in the centre of Kelso.
This was our second visit to Castle Nook, and once again we could find no fault with the property. It is handy for the centre of Kelso, there is parking close by, the property was clean and well looked after.
Fantastic location, step outside the front door and your on the Kelso square. Lovely room, clean and tidy, great for a day at the races which is why I was at Kelso
Comfortable. Perfectly located. Easy to book with good communication from owner. An ideal no-fuss option for a weekend visit to Kelso - and the Kelso Races.
