Helston has a long history, interesting shops and is a good starting point for visiting beaches, geology and ice cream!Since the by-pass, the town centre is safer! Big Salisbury's, Lidl. Access to the Lizard, Porthleven, Praa sands Kynance Cove all within 20 minutes travel. I stayed at the Premier Inn with its restaurant, car park and spacious room.

The quietude of the space was so right for me.

The quietude of the space was so right for me. Lizard Peninsula easy to get to and only took a few minutes. I loved the Llamas and donkey pottering around the site. Because the property had a balcony and good outdoor furniture. I could sit there and view the sea in the background.

Helston is a lovely little place. There are nice pubs and places to eat, especially the burger place called Boo Koos . A few good shops to peruse, would stay here again as it makes a good base for exploring the area.

I have visited Helston many times and find that the town is suffering from the results of the pandemic and its affect on local businesses. Having said that the area around is still full of interesting places to visit and nice people.

Helston as a town has been left behind. In poor shape.

Helston as a town has been left behind. In poor shape. However, the surrounding area is wonderful. Porthleven, small but very friendly and welcoming. Location ideal for exploring the St Ives, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, and the coast from Porthleven round to Falmouth. Wonderful memories 💖. Thank you.

We had a fabulous stay at the Three Tuns, the owners were very welcoming and the hotel is charming on the square in St Keverne by the church. Our room was very comfortable with lovely extras such as still and sparkling water and top quality tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable and the decor is attractive with a luxurious feel. We had a lovely evening meal downstairs followed by a wonderful breakfast the next morning with amazing options. Excellent quality all round, we would definitely recommend staying here and it's great value.

The cottage was beautifully restored and had a very nice interior. It had everything you would need for an extended stay to enjoy the surrounding area. It was picturesque and in a quiet location. The host provided a very informative email detailing things to do, see, and places to eat. We enjoyed his recommendation of the Helston Meadery on Wendron St. It was a short 12 minute walk to the town center. The hiking path across the small bridge nearby was quite enjoyable as well. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay.

Everything! Our room was so clean and it such good shape that we felt like we were the first guests to have stayed in it. Sarah, our hostess, was very welcoming, hospitable and helpful. Fresh milk in the fridge and lots of other nice touches. Heated towel rack in the bathroom that actually worked! The breakfast was A+++. Parking immediately in front of the house. Comprehensive guest book in the room detailing sights and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Quiet as can be. So relaxing.

It's very close to Praa Sands beach and also to St. Michaels mountain. Britannia House captured my heart with its vintage charm, warm hosts, brilliant coffee, and lovely breakfast. The attic, complete with a fireplace and cozy furniture, provided a serene retreat. The house's unique character and history made it a truly remarkable stay. If you're looking for an enchanting escape that takes you back in time, Britannia House is the perfect choice.

Our stay at Rose Vean was very lovely and comfortable. This was my first time at a B&B and we loved it. There was a good variety of choice for breakfast's which was cooked to your preference. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet retreat /break away or to use as a base for visiting the Falmouth / Helston area. Thank you for a wonderful stay, if we plan another trip in the area I would definitely stay again.

Vicky and her husband are great hosts. In the lovely garden she grows all kinds of fruits and berries which she then uses for breakfast or to make fantastic jam. The room is very comfortable, including a small fridge, and has all you need for a relaxed stay. The freshly made breakfast from Vicky every morning is delicious. A big thank you for sharing your jam with us and more important some tips and tricks to improve my home jam making.

Good location. Great hotel team. Management very passionate about quality of service, nothing too much trouble. Food good, and quality service offered. Parking on the beach area, 10 mtrs from hotel. The location is remote, and really only thing there is the beach and the hotel, plus a few rental cottages. So quiet in the evening. Nice cafe next door, probably linked to hotel

It is a great location in the center, 6 min away from Kynance Cove. The helicopter was cosy and warm. When it is windy, it feels like you are being calmed down by the helicopter movement. The hosts are great, love the Ukrainian flag greeting me. The breakfast was yummy and I had plenty of choices being a vegetarian. The shower and toilet were clean.

The attention to detail at Monterey Pines was exceptional. Sarah made our 5 night stay a most enjoyable experience, her kindness and her knowledge of the area were much appreciated. The room and the breakfast were excellent. Buses run from Helston to St.Ives, Penzance, Falmouth etc. We made good use of the bus service to avoid excessive driving.

Quiet location, but less than 5 mins walk to the main road for pubs/shops etc. We used the bus option (during price cap) to get around as we were specifically coast walking - excellent value, and again bus stop less than 5 mins away. If you have it, take some time to wander around Helston, using the different back lanes - interesting.

Best hosts I've ever had. One of them actually collected me from the town of Helston some distance from the property! The location is lovely with a grassy garden to wander in. The cottage itself was lovely with lots of character. Loved the place and would love to come again.
