The house is amazing, the owner made us very welcome allowed us to use most of the rooms in this beautiful Victorian house. The beds are extremely comfortable , with period decor. The owner shared great knowledge of the best places to eat and visit including the West End of Glasgow. She helped with anything we needed and greeted us with a fresh cup of tea, a nice touch.

Peaceful and Stunning Waterside Location, hotel in Helensburgh

Located in Helensburgh in the Argyll and Bute region, Peaceful and Stunning Waterside Location provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

A beautiful location, sadly I was working and didn't get the chance to experience it as much as I would have liked. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, responding quickly to any issues I raised. This included staying on the phone with me as I found my way to the property. They have made great use of a fairly limited space although the internal spiral staircase is pretty tight if you want to carry anything down from the bedroom or kitchen

Helensburgh is a pretty town with plenty of good eating places and pubs. It has a very picturesque waterfront with ample seating. There is a large leisure centre with gym and a swimming pool or you can just sit in the cafe. There are public toilets on the pier. There are 3 well known supermarkets, but preferably use the local butchers, fishmongers and greengrocers. A regular bus service runs through the town, but there is also plenty of free street parking and a couple of good size carparks. Because of its location Helensburgh is a great for exploring further afield.

Helensburgh is a charming Victorian seaside town on the Firth of Clyde. It has excellent facilities for such a small place. If you don't have a car, everything you need is in the town. If you do have a car, it is a wonderful base for touring, with the beautiful hills and glens of the highlands on your doorstep.

Helensburgh is a fairly big town with a variety of shops and restaurants. There is an 'open' feel to the place, the roads are wide with big pavements. We went to the Ruby a Chinese restaurant which was very nice with friendly staff. The second night we went to the Mare Mire which had lovely pizzas and Italian food. The local people are friendly. Helensburgh is ideally situated to explore the west of Scotland

Everything was lovely. The warm welcome and drinks in the conservatory on arrival were very much appreciated. The property had been well thought out, very clean with comfortable rooms and a beautiful garden. Anne and John were super hosts and gave great advice with regards the area and places to go. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We found a super local tapas bar for our evening meals with great food and friendly staff. Loved our stay.

James was waiting on arrival and showed me how to operate everything in the flat. We were close to the town for walking and also close to the seafront. Bus stops were right outside the flat. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom were a good size and very comfortable. There was a breakfast welcome pack and we had all the utensils needed to cook meals. There is a Tesco Express a couple of minutes walk from the flat which was perfect for groceries.

The flat was faultless. It had everything you could possibly need for the stay and the host had also thoughtfully left towels, treats, bowls and blankets for the dog, as well as milk, butter, homemade cookies, coffee pods and even pastries. A lovely touch. There was loads of space and the bed was perfect especially for those with bad backs! It was a great base to visit the area. We would definitely recommend it and would book again.

Great location, and within close walking distance of all of the main areas, bars and restaurants of Helensburgh. We stayed for four nights over new year. The flat was well equipped with everything you could need including books, DVDs and games. The kitchen, while small, was fully kitted out with full oven, utensils, crockery, etc. as well as fridge, microwave and small washing machine. The bed was super comfy.

Liz has such a beautiful house and ensures you have everything you could ever need! She put out a continental breakfast for us in the morning and there were so many options. Could not have asked for anything else while staying there, if we are ever back in the area we will for sure be staying here!

Location by the railway station and not far from the seafront was fantastic. The house, furnishings and bedding were lovely and the lady managing the house was very friendly and welcoming. The coffee served with the breakfast was the best I have ever had in a A Scottish hotel/B&B.
