The location was very beautiful and scenic. Off the beaten track we found the unique appearance of a listed building and the mill wheel, together with animals and general fun equipment for children, to be attractive. It was well thought out for adults and children alike. We found the staff very friendly and the bedroom modern and comfortable. A place to enjoy and feel at home.
This country inn is set in Little Hayfield, overlooking Lantern Pike Hill in the Peak District National Park.

The host was very welcoming and tye room was massive,
We liked nothing at this accommodation. We were unable to get hold of any staff. The staff didn't return any of our calls. When we did gain access through another customer the place was dirty smelly. Bedding had not been cleaned and was dirty. The towels were smelly and not clean the bathroom was filthy and smelt. The tea coffee facilities were gruby and a mug was chipped tea spoon stained. Nothing was welcoming. Very steep stair case the the bedrooms. Shared bathroom. I would not advise anyone cycling or hiking to stay here. If the weather had been wet, there are no facilities to be able to dry out anything.

Having emailed the venue stating my arrival time at 10pm the door was locked. I called the number on the door to check, a very loud aggressive abusive man picked the phone up shouting at me. He seemed drunk. I was too scared to stay as I was alone. This resulted in me being stranded on my own with nowhere to stay. I was very shaken up by the whole experience and urge people to stay away from the place.
