The Coach House is a beautiful place to stay when in the area. We had to take a slight detour from Hadrian‘s Wall Path, which we were on, but it was well worth it. The cottage is situated at the end of a private driveway surrounded by a luscious garden. Everything was tastefully decorated, nice and clean, the bed very comfortable, which was welcome after a long day of hiking. For dinner and breakfast we had to head down to the Boatside Inn about 20mins out, but it was well worth it, as the food was delicious, the staff lovely and the walk there and back beautiful. It also gave us an opportunity to check out the local Quoits team, which was quite fun! We hope to be back!

I had a great stay. although one night I was made to feel very welcome, its a great B & B, the breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, you wont be disappointed staying here. My room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable, very clean and good room facilities, Thanks for a great stay

Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is set up to be accessed at any time even if that's super early and your keen to get back on your trail. Owners were very kind, flexible and even kindly gave me a lift back up the hill to continue my walk where I left off. Central location and rooms were still peaceful even though the road is just outside. Really enjoyed and highly recommend.
