Really nice stay. Room was immaculate and staff really friendly. Room is small - compact and bijou😃 but if you only plan to sleep there it is fine. It was quiet and warm and lovely bar downstairs. Really great location in town square which has been recently renovated. So yes - thoroughly recommend…

Great find along the bank of the River Clyde.

Great find along the bank of the River Clyde. Basic room but well equipped and very clean. Man who checked us in was very helpful and explained everything. Near to the historic centre and opposite Lidl supermarket. Recommend eating at Spicycurry Nepalese restaurant behind the bus station. The Waverley steamer also runs tours from just outside!

Greenock has a good selection of supermarkets and shops together with an inviting waterfront along which to stroll. Enjoyed our trip on the paddle steamer Waverley. Found Greenock a friendly place to visit with a selection of shopping outlets mostly within a short walking distance.

The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. We had travelled to Greenock for the funeral of a close relative and we found this to be a true haven where we could rest and enjoy a modicum of tranquility before travelling home again.

I work in Greenock but stayed at the Waterfron to attend an event at the Alabany due to the train strikes that week. My room was a student room next to other occupied student rooms so I could hear a lot of noise from the next room - radio, someone talking loudly on his phone. The worst part was the lack of hot water in the shower. I asked the manager about this and he said it was an issue with the water pressure. He said he would fix it but it still didn't work on the second morning of my stay.

The room had a musty, sewage smell when I entered, it was not clean, cups dirty, bits of noodles on floor. Only one sachet of coffee, cobwebs on roof round edges. Toilet small and smelly of something maybe sewage and damp. Never slept well, actually if had somewhere else to go I would have left at 2am in morning. Positives, view was amazing but that was it.

As I was born in Greenock. It is quite different now. Shopping area very small, some good stores but like many other town centres at the moment. Signs of a lack of financial imput, however still adequate to find what you may be looking for.

Beautiful apartment in a great location in Greenock close to shops ect.. noticed was a busy road but in the apartment you can't hear a sound from outside... The apartment was just absolutely beautiful and definitely alot bigger than I expected...one thing that would be great in the apartment tho would be a tumble dryer or airers for when your staying longer than just a couple of days apart from that I didn't find a single fault with the apartment anyone looking at going to the area I would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely character building and loved the staircase. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. I have to say the staff impressed me immensely as the night we stayed they had a wedding, a dinner and hotel guests to cater for, considering the pressure they were under they were excellent and handled it with aplomb. We were fortunate to be upgraded also and had the lovely honeymoon suite for the night. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Would stay again if visiting Greenock again Thank you

The staff is what I judge in a hotel as it's greatest asset. The Tontine staff is without equal. Courteous, attentive and knowledgable. The food was great and the service quick. The room was plenty spacious and the entertainment center (TV) supplied much of my information for my visit. There were plenty of power outlets for charging my electronic devices, and the hotel internet served me well.

On our arrival we found it very easy to park directly outside the hotel and were greeted and checked in by the friendly staff. Our rooom was was cosy and warm. Although the hotel is close to the centre of Greenock there was virtually no traffic or other noise to be heard making for a very peaceful nights sleep. The complimentary continental breakfast was a nice extra.

Loved the location as it's so close to Greenock Central Station and town centre. This apartment block is clean and tidy and perfect sized rooms. This was so handy for my theatre competition weekend visit to the beacon as it was only 2-3 mins walk away. I would recommend this apartment hotel for anyone wishing to stay in the local area and explore.

Beautiful hotel in a very good location within the city. We stayed in the Georgian section of this hotel, and the room was large, airy, clean, and tastefully decorated. Excellent bar with attentive staff, too. We had a very good view of the bowling green in the square across teh street, too.
