The staff were some of the most friendly, attentive, and welcoming people we met!! We stayed 2 nights, but if we could have spent the whole holiday there we would have. Cannot say enough positive things about the chef and her food, she pours her heart and soul into it and it is AMAZING. Highly, highly, highly recommend to anyone considering staying here to do it!!! You will not regret it.

We felt truly relaxed at the Heatherbank Guest House. Paul and Lorna were very welcoming and keen to offer suggestions for places to visit. Paul's porridge is amazing. The best porridge I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. A great lounge area for a nightcap and offering great views in the morning. Really recommend staying here.

Stayed here before. It has been refurbished since our last visit. Beautiful room with seating area.
We paid more for a larger room with a view. Some rooms are smaller with a view. Views on to the Sea Loch and mountains, over their colourful garden. Can walk in their garden and along short stretch of shoreline. Large decking area to sit out on. Meals were excellent.
Situated in picturesque Fort William, The Lime Tree An Ealdhain offers spacious accommodation in the Highlands of Scotland. It has its own art gallery, and an award-winning contemporary restaurant.

Location was great, breakfast was very good and staff were wonderful.
Glenfinnan is stunning! I was there for a wedding at the Glenfinnan House Hotel, so I didn't get a chance to visit the landmarks in town, but I did get a chance to Loch Shiel and it is gorgeous. I wish I had had more time to tour around, but I got a taste of the beauty and tranquility of the area. I would love to go back and visit someday.

Nice little area with a couple of Hotel / restaurants. Once you've seen the viaduct, the monument and the wonderful Loch Sheil there isn't a great deal unless you're into walking or cycling. Plenty of trails in the area and a good base to explore further up towards Mallaig.

Having seen old rail posters of Glenfinnan Viaduct, I tried a 2 mile walk from the Visitor Centre via the Viaduct to the old restaurant carriage. I did it before breakfast, so was the only one out. What fantastic views of the Viaduct and loch. There are numerous waiting signs on the main road. I later found out that due to Harry Potter queues of build up on this path.

Beautiful stop for sightseeing and scenic views.
Beautiful stop for sightseeing and scenic views. The Glenfinnan monument is wonderful and steeped in history. Make sure you climb to the top for spectacular views (even a great view of the viaduct). The viaduct is a must for Harry Potter fans. It is honestly a distant second, though, to the history and scenic beauty of the monument rising over the Loch.

Great spot to spend 2 or 3 days. Car essential.
Great spot to spend 2 or 3 days. Car essential. Don't waste your money on the "Harry Potter" train. The Scot Rail normal service uses the same station and tracks and costs £15 for 2 people one way; the Jacobite train costs nearly £70 for the same journey. All you get extra for your money is a bit of chuff chuffing and some steam. Big disappointment. Prince's House Hotel is brilliant for an evening meal.
The house is beautiful. The surroundings of Loch Shiel are breath taking and inside is a good size yet cosy and comfortable. It is very close to the main sites in Glenfinnan - the viaduct, monument and visitors centre so as we were only passing through this was ideal. The hosts had a very informative welcome pack and there are all the amenities you need in a holiday home. If we didn't need to get back to work we would have loved to gave stayed longer. Would highly recommend this property.
Loved the location. Nice old house with big rooms. Jason & Jack very friendly and welcoming. Quiet but not far from Fort William with restaurants etc. If you are a Harry Potter fan, this is the location for you. The lake surrounding hogwarts is about 5 minutes away (loch shiel) as is the glenfinnan viaduct that the hogwarts express hurtles over (10.45 ish each morning). Dumledore’s final resting place is 10 minutes further out.
The location was perfect. Ideally situated for what we wanted to see and do. We walked to the Glenfinnan Viaduct lookout via the woodland path at Glenfinnan Station. Fantastic!!! We visited the White Sands at Morar. Experienced the Jacobite Train journey from Fort William to Mallaig. Drove to Loch Ness to see if we could spot Nessie!!!
The Armoury was a great base, clean and comfortable, quiet at night - Perfect!
The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. There was no problem working round my food issues as so much of the produce was handmade by the chef. Homemade sausages and blackpudding were gluten free! Flavours were amazing as was the presentation. Waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the Harry Potter experience of the steam engine going over the Glenfinnan viaduct.
The hosts were welcoming and the food was amazing! Everything was home cooked and baked, of the area and in season. Fabulous. The hiking trails leaving from the hotel were great and the train station very close. Loch Shiel is so beautiful. Staying here allows you to see the viaduct and loch when there are few tourists.
We loved that everything you could possibly want in the form of facilities and provisions were there. It is a very homely and rustic lodge. A skip and a hop to the train station where the Jacobite train comes and a wonderful scenic walk to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter fans) and the Bonnie Prince Memorial.
The location is amazing, only minutes walk away from the Glenfinnan viaduct. The scenery is beyond beautiful, with the view of Ben Nevin peaking in the distance. The cabin is very modern, cosy and fully equipped with all the necessitys. Fort William is only approximately a 25 minute drive away.
A wonderful family-run hotel with a great restaurant and bar. Staff was always most helpful and friendly. The room was clean, quite large and had everything I needed. Nice location in the middle of hills. Excellent breakfast.
Very clean very comfortable.
Location great and we felt soothed by the tranquility of the spot and also had a lovely meal at the local hotel 2 mins away
I thoroughly enjoyed and hope to go back
Fantastic location very close to Glenfinnan Viaduct. Small family owned hotel with exceptional service. Food was amazing. Great value. Would unequivocally recommend.
