Located in close proximity to coastal walks and the newly opened Goodwick Moor bird sanctuary with Ivybridge Spa* just next door.

Parking is outside the guesthouse, which is in a quiet hollow away from the road. My room was on the first floor and the stairs not steep. Though smallish, the room was adequate and the bathroom was new and sparkling clean. TV reception was very good, but the guest internet needs a house wifi password, as I discovered to my cost.
The host joined customers at breakfast and was entertaining and chatty.
The ferry port was less than 5 minutes away.

Host was accommodating by letting me check in late as the ferry only gets into Fishguard at 11pm. At breakfast I met some people who were walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path like me and Steve was able to provide me with some insider information on the route before I set off.

After weeks in hotels, this was like coming home. So well looked after by Alan and his staff, with the experience of a farmstay, and the professionalism and love of a chef to cook for us each evening. And a valuable advocate of things to see and do around the area
It's a great base location for exploring the area.
It's a great base location for exploring the area. There's plenty of nice coastal walks that are only a short drive away. The town itself is quite small but still has plenty to offer. There's history with the fort and last invasion gallery, the lower town is very cute and you're spoiled for choice with food and drink - lots of very good quality cafes, restaurants and pubs.

In Fishguard to take ferry to Ireland so didn't see much of it. Looks a nice coastal town but obviously the ferry port overwhelms the town.
If using the ferry services directions are clear and plenty of space to park and wait if arrive early.
Stayed overnight in The Ferryboat which was lovely and highly recommended.

A lovely little town and great base to explore local sites and coves. Great walking, lovely quaint streets, easy shopping at the CoOp. Exploring pathways and surrounds was fascinating.
A short drive to St David’s. We were there mainly for the Challenge Fishguard Triathlon. A great event.

Fishguard is a relatively small port/leisure town in North Pembrokeshire. There are pleasant walks and old properties and chapels. Good views out to the hills and sea from various viewpoints, Shopping choices are somewhat limited but there is a largeish Co op Stores and many independents. There is a pleasant cafe facing the Square opposite St Mary's Church (Bopty Cafe) and the Royal Oak Pub has a large terrace to the rear with sea views and offers a variety of food and drink with an outside bar in good weather, Live jazz was being played outside when I visited, there was a soap box derby and fair in the park and a number of other folk and music/dancing events which made for a happy and civilised summer feel. A walk along the breakwater at Goodwick is pleasant or a day trip to Ireland on the ferry. There is a good local cinema showing many current films and live showings. The gallery along west street (Miles Pepper) is worth a trip. Check out the Fishguard Music Festival in September and Aberjazz in the Spring.

Distance between dock, village, train station and waterfront...
Distance between dock, village, train station and waterfront are quite large, so transport is needed. Some sort of shuttle service would be great as it is often windy and wet, so walking would be challenging.
The communication with the host was excellent.
Lovely welcome pack on arrival.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped for a short break. It had everything you needed.
The small cottage was cosy.
Excellent location in the middle of Fishguard. Free parking was a welcome bonus.
Entry and instructions were easy and getting in was very smooth.
The place was clean.
The location was great but Fishguard was a disappointment as far as towns go - the town centre was almost completely empty. The Royal Oak Hotel was fantastic - great food and excellent staff. The house was great and the property Manager Kelly her husband were awesome as we required assistance with a door issue early on a Saturday morning - thank you so much.
I loved the location! it’s a great little spot in Fishguard close to so many things. Steve was 10/10 an amazing host! so helpful and kind. breakfast items was provided, and Steve even made soup and soda bread one day! It was a great atmosphere connecting with other travelers as well. my room was comfortable and clean, and overall just felt at home.
We had an amazing stay in Fishguard, it was cozy and in a great location to explore!
breakfast was perfect, you get a lovely fruit platter and a full breakfast + cereals available!! so generous.
The couple who runs this B&B are super sweet and friendly, they could answer any questions we had about the area, thank you!!
Peter our host was welcoming. We were able to check in early. Comfortable bed. Everything super clean. Breakfast really good with lots of variety. Peter was also nice enough to help get us to the ferry dock. This location is also close by a portion of the Pembrookshire Coastal Path and a nice walk into Fishguard.
My room at The Ferryboat was just what I needed as I arrived into Fishguard on a ferry at 10pm. The guesthouse was easy to find; my host was welcoming and my room was comfortable. All I needed to do was rest after a long day's travelling.
I loved the feeling of "not the hotel feeling" . Like you are a guest in a person's home. Which in some ways is just that. Apart from having to pay of course.
Very welcoming, clean, nice tea and coffee. Access to your own TV, a nice plus.
Extremely well equipped room, very recently newly refurbished. Owners didn't mind that we arrived late in the evening (having come off the Rosslare/Fishguard ferry. Extremely convenient for crossings to and from Ireland.
This is a wonderful hostel that I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Fishguard. It was a great pleasure to meet its owner, Steve, and to talk with him. Staying there was one of the highlights of our trip.
This hotel is a hidden gem. Run so well by a lovely couple, with Dan being an outstanding chef. The food is really something, and personal service also outstanding. Dan recently won the national pub chef of the year.
Priskilly was the perfect spot for our first trip to Wales. Typical country side atmosphere, wonderful hosts, excellent location for daily walks in the Penbrokshire National Park, excellent 9 hole golf course
Everything. Gary was the perfect host and the lift into Fishguard was much appreciated. The view over the harbour is stunning. Everything you need for a short stay. Would definitely stay again.
Great communication with host. Very comfortable accommodation for my uncle and aunt who are 88 and 90 years old and staying a long weekend in Fishguard. Everything on the ground floor.
The view was spectacular and the bed and accommodations were very comfortable! Our host was friendly and helpful and we wished we could have spent more time in this lovely area!
The hotel was easy to find and so central. Rooms were well appointed and tasteful. Staff were welcoming and we had a fantastic dinner and breakfast there - food was amazing.
